Chapter 20

So today, unlike any other day the atmosphere in the Kim household was gloomy, why??

Well, because Kim taehyung was going on a business trip to Kim Jungkook's utter displeasure.

It's been months since they married, they went through a lot of ups and downs together, TOGETHER.

But they never stayed away from each other except the time tae goes to office, so when tae informed jungkook about his business trip that would last almost for a week out of the country, jungkook was sad, but he wasn't showing it to hinder his hubby's work or his mood because of himself, as he knows how tae becomes when he is sad.

It was nighttime, jungkook was helping tae to pack his luggage as his flight was in the morning, though he was subtly pouting and sulking while doing it.

'Hubby, check it once if this is all you need, tell me if you need me to add something more', said kook looking at tae.

'No kook, that's all I will need', said tae and kissed his nose muttering a 'thank you'.

'Will you miss me?', asked tae watching kook.

'No, not at all', kook said playfully while tae just smiled at him and hugged him.

'I will miss you, that would not even compare to what I will feel without you', thought jungkook hugging his husband wanting to memorise him and this moment feeling his warmth.

'Will you miss me?', asked kook softly still hugging tae close.

'Yes', tae said truthfully and kissed him under his ear and jungkook just smiled feeling content with his hubby's answer.

Both slept holding each other close.

Morning came sooner than other days, that's what they both felt, as tae was going to leave in a few minutes.

Tae was checking all his files and stuff while, jungkook was remembering if he forgot to put anything in tae's luggage.

Finally, it was time for tae to leave and jungkook was trying hard to control himself from crying but tae saw those glistening doe eyes.

'Kook, come here', said tae and made kook sit on the bed while he kneeled in front of him.

Tae hugged him understanding his bunny wife.

'Kook, I will be back in a few days, you can call me anytime you want okay, I want to see you the same as I am leaving you right now, don't you dare skip your meals, take care of yourself and call me immediately if something happens.' said tae softly and kook nodded.

'Hubby, I have rechecked everything, I have put some painkillers as well incase you get a headache, don't overwork, don't even think about skipping your meals, I would be asking yoongi hyung about it, take care of yourself and call me if you can't find anything', finished kook saying.

'I love you', said kook and pecked tae's lips.

'I love you too', said tae and kissed his forehead, nose and lips.

They went to the entrance of their home, tae was walking out,  he felt a tug on his coat sleeve, and he knew who it must be.

Tae turned around and engulfed jungkook in a hug while slowly brushing his hand in his hair in a soothing manner, tears slid from jungkook's eyes.

Both parted and kissed each other one last time before tae sat in the car.

Jungkook was waving at him cutely, trying to smile. Tae was watching him and waved back with a smile.

'He is gonna miss his bunny human so much', thought tae watching jungkook's disappearing figure.

It's been three days,
Since tae left and both were longing for each other, from morning to evening everything reminded them of each other, as it was their first time staying apart from each other for more than few hours.

Even though the time difference was huge, they used to manage to talk to each other whenever they could, that would help them to keep going with their day.

Jungkook was counting days, when his hubby would be coming back home, it was the fifth night without tae, he was sleeping wearing tae's dress shirt wanting to feel his hubby's presence with him.

Around midnight he felt someone beside him and a hand on his waist, he opened his eyes wide and saw his husband who was supposed to be home after two more days, but is here now.

'Hubby?', asked kook still processing.

'Yes I am home, the work was done there so I came back early, I couldn't sleep properly without you I missed you so much', said tae and stuffed his face in jungkook's chest wanting to sleep as he was really exhausted.

Jungkook smiled and pulled him close and stroked his scalp softly to make him sleep and within a few minutes tae was fast asleep in his kook's warm embrace, his home.
