"And that is how you solve this formula. Any questions?" I said to my class. One of my students raises their hand.
They had started my class just a few weeks ago and participated every time. "Yes, what is your question?" I asked them "Why are you still here?" the student asked. I looked at them very confused and responded "To teach you all of course". "But you shouldn't be here" the student responded to me.
In an instant the world around me started to warp. What I see now is a white ceiling, I looked to my right to see a heart monitor and an iv hanging beside it. I look down to see myself in a hospital gown.
When I looked to my left I saw someone dressed in a doctor's attire. "Good day ma'am, welcome back to the real world" They said to me. "To the real world?" I asked. "Of course you must be very confused right now. You have just undergone a project that lets you experience life the way you wanted." They answered me. "Experience life the way I wanted?" I repeated to them.
They replied to me "Yes that is correct, I'm afraid that this is all you can go through as of now. As you cannot remember clearly currently I'll leave you to rest for a while, as this is a side effect you'll remember everything again don't worry, Once you've rested up I'll come back here and you can ask all the questions you have."
