Kyoshi Island

" You have no idea where your going, do you?" Sokka asked, looking up from his mad to Aang as. they flew on Appa the next morning.

" Well I know its near to water," Aang replied from the front.

" I guess we're getting close then," Sokka remarked sarcastically, looking over the sidle to look at the vast ocean they were flying over.

Aang glanced back to Nikomi, who was sitting next to Katara, both engrossed with what they were doing.

" Momo, marbles please," Aang asked the lemur who was perched on his shoulder. The lemur gave a chitter before rummaging inside Aang's shirt. He popped out a few seconds later and gave Aang what he wanted.

" Hey, Komi, check out this air bending trick" Aang started spinning the marbles around with his air bending, grinning widely at the girl.

" That's great, Aang" Nikomi stated, not looking up from her paper.

" You didn't even look" Aang 's face fell, stopping his trick.

Nikomi looked up to give him a small smile" That's great"

"But I'm not doing it now"

" Stop bugging her, airhead" Sokka stated, from the back of the saddle " You need to give girls space when they do their writing and sowing"

Katara and Nikomi looked up at him, obviously offended.

" What does us being girls have to do with sowing and writing?" Katara questioned, glaring at her brother.

" Simple. Girls are better at writing and fixing pants then guys, and guys are better at hunting and fighting and stuff like that." Sokka answered " It's just the natural order of things"

" All done with your pants, and look what a great job I did" Katara threw the still torn pants at her brother, hitting him in the face.

" Wait! I was just kidding! I can't wear these! Katara, please!" Sokka begged.

Nikomi laughed as Katara just smirked at him.

" Relax, Sokka" Aang called from the front " Where we're going, you won't need any pants"

Nikomi looked at Katara, confused by what Aang meant but the older girl just shrugged at her.

A while later, they arrived at a beautiful island and landed on a beach.

" We just made a pit stop yesterday. Shouldn't we get a little more flying done before we camp out?" Sokka questioned the others off of Appa.

" He's right. At this rate, we won't get to the North Pole until spring" Katara agreed and Nikomi nodded her head beside her.

" But Appa's tired already, aren't you boy? "Appa just let out a small grunt.

" I said, aren't you a boy?" Aang asked again, nudging his giant friend who let out a huge yawn in reply.

" Yeah, that was real convincing" Sokka rolled his eyes " Still hard to argue with a 10-ton magical monster"

Aang then spotted something in the water and he smiled in excitement. " Look!"

In the water, giant elephant koi fish were seen jumping out of the waves.

" That's why we're here-- elephant koi, and I'm gonna ride it" Aang stated, taking off his shirt and pants.

Nikomi gasped, watching the huge fish dance in the water.

" Komi, are you coming in?" Aang wondered, excited about going in the water.

" Oh, no thanks, Aang," Nikomi quickly replied.

" Okay," Aang replied.

Aang then took off towards the water, jumping in headfirst.

" Cold!" He yelled, jumping up a few seconds later.

Nikomi giggle as Katara and Sokka shared a look and Sokka made a circular motion around his temple with his index finger.

Aang swam out further into the water, before ducking underneath and reemerging clinging onto a giant koi fish. Aang was laughing and smiling at them as he clung on to the elephant koi.

Nikomi waved at him, also smiling.

" He looks pretty good out there" Nikomi stated

" Are you kidding? The fish is doing all the work" Sokka retorted.

Nikomi turned her head and saw Appa about to eat something he shouldn't.

" No, Appa, don't eat that," She said walking over to the giant bison.

The elephant koi that Aang was riding suddenly got pulled under the surface, causing Aang to go flying in the water. A dark shadow was cast over him as a giant sea creature emerged behind him. Aang yelled in fright and used his air bending to run on the water and escape from the creature.

When he reached the shore, he failed to slow down and accidentally ran into Sokka, sending them both crashing into a tree. The girls rushed over and the monster disappeared beneath the water.

" What was that thing?" Katara asked.

" I don't know," Aang replied, putting his clothes back on.

" Well, let's not stick around to find out" Sokka started standing up "Time to hit the road."

Suddenly out of nowhere, the group was surrounded by a bunch of warriors dressed in green armor. They were swift in there movement and quickly caught and tied up the group before they could do anything. They were blindfolded and pushed to the ground roughly.

" Or we could stay awhile" Sokka muttered.
