*later that day*

As I'm sitting at the counter, the door opens making me look over to see Mom walking in. "How you doin'?"

"This is one part about being human I don't envy," Clark admits.

"It's not all that bad. You can lie on the couch all day and watch DVDs while your mom makes some doctor-certified chicken soup," she says, handing him the DVDs.

"Mom, I can watch DVDs after I fix the irrigation ditch," Clark shakes his head.

"No, your health is a lot more important than the irrigation ditch," Mom says. "We're in uncharted waters now, Clark, and Dad's not here to help us out. So, please, you have to trust my instincts and rest," Mom sighs.

"Besides, it's already done," I add.

"You fixed it," Clark questions.

"Learned from the best," I nod. "Listen, while you rest, I can take over your chores for now. Okay?" He nods, and I pat his shoulder. There's a knock at the door, and Mom opens it up.

"Lionel, is everything alright?"

"Lex. He's gone. I think he's been abducted," Lionel admits making my eyes widen.

"Who do you think's behind it," I question.

"Considering what he stole from the Pentagon my initial reaction was the, uh... government, but after I spoke to my contacts in Washington I don't think so. I... You have to find him, Clark."

"Why? Lex and I have nothing to do with each other anymore."

"But you and Zod do. Lex insists he can't remember anything that happened when he was possessed by Zod but, uh, he might not be honest about it. He might remember it all. Whoever his captures are, if they put enough pressure on him he could tell the truth... about you."

It's silent for a moment, before Clark sighs. "All right, I'll find him," he nods.

"What," I exclaim.

"Callie, I can't risk letting my secret get out," he says.

"I know, but you're in no condition to do this," I say.

"Can you do this, then," Lionel questions me.

"Uh... I don't think that's the greatest idea right now," I admit.

"Why's that?"

"I just... can't," I sigh.

"Exactly, you can't, but I can, and I'm going to," Clark states.

"But--"

"You can't stop me, Callie."

"I know," I nod. "Just be careful."

As I'm finishing up some of Clark's chores, I feel my head start to pound. I close my eyes, taking a deep breath, but the pounding doesn't stop. In fact, it starts to get worse.

I feel my hands start to shake, as my ears start to ring. I yell out in pain when I hear a loud crash. I open my eyes to see that some of our farm equipment has been thrown at the walls.

I feel something drop on to my arm, and I look down to see a little drop of blood on my arm. I quickly wipe it away, along with the blood under my nose.

Ever since I escaped the Phantom Zone with Clark, I've been getting these horrible migraines followed by nosebleeds. My ears will start to ring, and my hands will start to shake. If I'm not able to control myself, things go wrong.

It's like... I can't control my powers anymore. They're starting to overwhelm me and my body.

I don't know what to do, so I've just been laying low because I'm worried I'll hurt someone. I'm lucky I've been alone every time I've had an episode.
