*at Oliver's apartment*
I walk inside Oliver's apartment, looking around. I walk up the steps when I see him in his Green Arrow costume. I sigh, approaching him. "Oliver," I say, placing my hand on his shoulder. Suddenly, he spins around and picks me up throwing me backward. I crash through his glass table, landing on my back.
I let out a groan of pain, as he looks down at me. He freezes when he sees me. "Oliver," I say, wincing. He backs up toward the balcony. "Oliver, it's okay," I exclaim when he disappears off his balcony.
I ignore the throbbing pain in my back, as I push myself off the floor and rush toward the balcony. However, I'm too late. He's already gone.
I know he didn't mean to do that. I did sneak up on him, knowing something bad could happen. I just didn't think about it.
I pull out my phone, dialing Clark's number. "Callie?"
"Clark, it's Oliver. I went to see him, and he was in his gear. I snuck up on him, and he threw me into a table," I start.
"What?! Are you okay," he exclaims.
"I'll be fine, but I'm worried for Oliver. Will you go to The Daily Planet and see if Chloe has any info on the syringe," I sigh.
"I will. What about you?"
"I'm going to find him."
"No, Callie, don't. He's already hurt you once. What if next time it's more permanent and you can't heal it?"
"Clark, I'll be fine... I have to find him before he does something he regrets. Just talk to Chloe and call me when you find out what it is," I sigh.
"Wait, Callie--" Before he can say anything else, I hang up.
I push myself off the floor, dialing Oliver's number, but he doesn't answer. It just goes to voicemail. "Oliver, I'm okay. Just please call me and don't do something stupid."
I shove my phone in my pocket, rushing out of his apartment.
*later that night*
I sneak through the Luthorcorp office, trying not to attract anyone's attention.
Clark called me and told me that Lex was also funding the scientist that was creating these drugs. Basically, the drugs, when injected, act as a healing agent. They can heal any wound, except there's a side effect that causes the user to act violent.
He told me the lab had been destroyed and the scientist was dead and Green Arrow had been there, so I have a feeling that Lex is his next target.
I approach Lex's office, peaking in. I see Green Arrow holding his bow to Lex's head. "What is this," Lex questions.
"Sign on the dotted line and all your assets will be divided among the 50 global charities listed below," Oliver says.
"Would you mind telling me what I've done to deserve this?"
"After your support of the Second Chance halfway house, I think it's a natural step. I went by the check out the facility. After some gentle prodding, the director told me what you and Dr. Black were doing to the residents."
"He was lying."
"So then I went to pay the good doctor a visit, and guess what? She's dead. I knew you weren't a saint, Luthor, but killing a woman to cover your tracks?"
"You're delusional," Lex states.
"Sign it."
A couple seconds later, Oliver speaks. "What the hell are you doing?"
"It's out of ink." A couple seconds later, Lex is pointing a gun at Oliver. "Drop it."
"You first."
"What do you think is faster? An arrow or a bullet?"
No...
"There's only one way to find out."
I hear both of them pull their triggers at the same time, and I gasp, covering my mouth. They both go flying backward, and I notice Oliver pull a needle out and inject himself.
That's it!
I rush inside, speaking. "Oliver," I say, looking over at Lex. I rush over to him, looking at the arrow in his chest. "What have you done?"
"Oliver." I turn around to see Clark here.
"He pulled a gun. I had no choice," Oliver defends.
"Lex," I question. No response. "Lex?"
"No, let nature take its course," Oliver says. I stand up, looking at Oliver.
"Oliver, that's the drugs talking. It's not you," I shake my head.
"Hey, that drug is the best thing that ever happened to me, Callie. I'm not bulletproof like your brother here. I, I gotta do whatever it takes. I need that drug," he says breathlessly.
"Oliver, you're not a killer."
"No, but he is, Callie, listen to me, you and I both know the world's a better place without Lex Luthor," he says, a sinister smile spreading across his face.
"That's not for us to decide. Oliver, where are the drugs?"
"Lex, he took it all. He took it all from the lab," he states. Clark glances over at a briefcase, before ripping it open to reveal vials and syringes inside. Clark grabs a syringe and kneels down beside Lex. "Let him die, Clark," Oliver says, grabbing his shoulder. Clark throws him backward, injecting the needle in Lex.
Clark checks his pulse, before standing up. "You killed him." Oliver looks up shocked. "You killed him."
I notice Lex moving, making me speak. "Look," I say, pointing at him. Clark turns around to see Lex moving.
Oh, thank God...
