"Mom, I know I have a big appetite, but you've got enough food here to feed a small army," Clark says.

"Well, I thought it'd be a good idea to invite a few people over for Thanksgiving this year," she explains.

"Actually, I was hoping we could keep it low-key. I'm not feeling very thankful this year," Clark admits.

"Well, I know it's gonna be a hard day, Clark, especially after what just happened to Raya but... company could help," I say.

"It was dad's holiday. He carved the turkey," he points out.

"I can carve this year," Mom sighs.

"Mom, he was the one who made sure we all said what we were thankful for. He always made sure that I was thankful for my abilities, but you know what, he was wrong. If I was normal, he would still be here... carving the turkey with grandpa's old carving knife," Clark frowns.

Suddenly, the door opens, and Lois walks in. "Have you heard the news," she questions, walking over to us. Clark and I shake our heads. "The Green Arrow was shot last night."

My eyes widen when she says that, and it's like my whole world starts crumbling down.

"It's in today's Planet," she adds, handing it to Clark. I look over his shoulder to see the heading "Green Arrow, Dead or Alive."

Oh no.

I know I haven't been talking to Oliver, but I've got a lot of shit to work out about myself. That doesn't mean I don't still care about him and have feelings for him.

"A man found him bleeding and ran for help, but when the cops finally got there all that was left was a bloodstain," she explains.

"Shoot, look at the time. I, um, I have to go," I say, rushing toward the door.

"Where are you going," Mom asks.

"I, um, have to run some errands. Don't catch up," I say, practically running out of the front door.

God, please don't let him hurt.

*at Oliver's*

I rush out of the elevator, speaking. "Oliver," I call out. I run around the corner to see him lifting weights. "Oliver," I question, crossing my arms. "You're looking awfully healthy."

"It's called exercise, Callie. Something we mere mortals have to do time to time," Oliver shrugs standing up.

"According to The "Daily Planet", the Green Arrow was shot last night," I state.

"If I was shot, don't you think I'd be lying in a hospital or a morgue? I'm not bulletproof like Clark. Besides, you of all people should know better than to believe everything you read," he points out, slipping a muscle shirt on.

"It's The "Daily Planet", not the Inquisitor. A witness saw you lying in a pool of blood," I sigh.

"Well, maybe it was someone else with a preference for green," he shrugs. I glance around when I notice his gear is just out in the open.

"What's your Green Arrow gear doing in the middle of the room," I question.

"I'm uploading a video. Check this out," he says, clicking a button on his remote. I look at the screen to see my face on it. "See that? Now, I've got footage of the scumbags so if they try to get away I can track them down," he says, turning the screen off.

"Oliver... you're getting sloppy. Your gear's out in the room, the door's unlocked. What if that was someone else walking in and not me?"

"Yeah. You know what? I've had a lot on my mind lately, alright? Apparently, you were to busy hiding your powers to realize that there's a crime wave in Metropolis. Let me ask you a question. Are you or Clark ever gonna get off your ass and finally do something for a change?"

"You know, I didn't come here to be insulted," I hiss.

"Well, you know what? There's the door, Callie. I don't remember you being invited. Besides, I didn't think you wanted anything to do with me."

"I never said that! It's more complicated than that. Oliver, what's going on with you," I sigh.

I'm genuinely worried about him. Something's wrong with him. I can tell. This isn't him.

"Callie, I don't need to take advice from someone who's only worry in life is to hide her powers!"

"That's a lie, and you know it."

"Let me tell you somethin', when I'm out there when I'm out on the streets, I'm protecting people, alright? I got much bigger things to worry about. Like staying alive," he exclaims, shattering the glass that's in his hand. I gasp.

"Are you okay," I question, approaching him.

"I'm fine, just get out of here," he states, grabbing a rag.

"At least let me help," I say.

"Go," He shouts. I jump at his tone, forcing the tears in my eyes back.

"Fine." With that, I walk down the hall to the back door. However, I hide around the corner, peaking out to see him open his desk drawer. My eyes widen when I see him pull out a needle and stick it inside of his arm.

Drugs? I never would've taken Oliver as the kind of guy to do that.
