"We have no choice. We have to call Immigration!"
"I told Javier he'd be safe here, and I meant it," I state.
"I wanna help this boy as much as you do but I took an oath to uphold the law."
"All he's trying to do is find his Mom."
"I know, but we have to go through the proper legal channels," she sighs.
"Was it legal when you forged my adoption papers? How about Clark's? We're illegal immigrants, Mom. You've been harboring us for over 17 years," I point out.
"Your situations were entirely different. We had to protect you," she insists.
"And I have to protect him! If I don't defend him, who will?"
"Callie--"
"Mom, she's right. There's a mother out there who hasn't seen her son in over two years. Do you really wanna stand in the way of that," Clark says. "I thought you of all people would understand."
"Look, we'll take him to Chloe's, okay? Just give us 24 hours before you call the deputy," I say, before we rush out the door.

We approach the willow tree when I see two people standing under it. "You Francisco," I question. They're quiet. "Do you know where I can find him?" The man says something in Spanish. "I'm sorry, I still don't understand."
"He says the ground swallowed him, like all the others," the younger boy says. The man says something else in Spanish.
"Clark," I say, nudging him. He nods and walks over to the field. I watch as he scans it, before looking at me with wide eyes.
*at Chloe's*
Clark and I head inside her apartment, speaking. "Hey," Clark says making Chloe and Javier look at us.
"Clark, Callie. Did you find Francisco?"
"Uh, we're still working on that," Clark lies.
"Chloe, can we talk to you for a second?" She nods, and we walk aside. "Clark, Callie, what's going on?"
"Chloe, that place is a graveyard," Clark admits quietly. "There's bodies buried everywhere. We called the Sheriff. He's on the way to McNally's farm."
"I took a look at the farm's property records. Guess which Fortune 500 Company so graciously came in and purchased the land after it had been pummeled during the last meteor shower?"
"LuthorCorp," Clark sighs. Chloe nods. "Would you watch Javier? I'll be right back."
"Of course," Chloe nods.
"Callie, will you stay here, too?"
"But--"
"Please?"
"Yeah," I nod.

I leave the bathroom, glancing around when I notice that Javier is gone. "Where's Javier," I question. Chloe looks away from Jimmy, and I notice an open window. "Oh no..."
Once I'm outside, I glance down the alleyway. "Javier," I shout when I see him. He runs toward the back of the truck. "Wait!" However, he jumps on to the back of the truck, looking back at me. He climbs in, and I run a hand through my hair. "Shit."
