eddie's pov:

"what-cha listening to?" you piped up two minutes later. it wasnt really a question as you took the girl's head phones and put one to your ear. "bon jovi? oh god, you're not one of those fan girls are you?" you scoffed, trying to start conversation again.

"and what's wrong with bon jovi?" she defended herself. oh fuck, she was one of his fan girls.

"no way. molly-too-cool-for-school-mayfield is a bon jovi groupie." you teased. "go on, what's your favourite fantasy about him? does his hair being whipped by the wind turn you on, sweetheart?" you grinned and amused yourself before turning back to her.

jesus, if looks could kill.

"i'm only kidding mayfield." you reassured reluctantly. "but damn have you seen him shirtless." you mocked her in a girly, higher pitched voice. bringing a hand to your mouth, you squealed.

she hit your shoulder once. quite hard. you laughed more, smiling at her. "you can't say much, freak. you're practically a fan boy yourself. i hear you and your band geeks belting bon jovi whenever you're hosting a sesh and gotta say the hair gives you both a resemblance. coincidence? i think not." she rolled her eyes.

you were stunned, eyebrows raised at how much of her attention you'd actually caught over the years. this girl just kept impressing you. "fine. maybe i like i bit of bon jovi. but i do not want to have sex with him, unlike a certain someone in this van." he sneered.

"what are you? jealous?" she grinned at you.

you stayed quiet for a second, not actually listening to her but when her words did eventually take notice, you jumped up. "what? no- the fuck. i- just go fuck yourself, mayfield." you retorted.

god this girl. she'd gotten you flustered and for what? you're great with girls so you had no clue what you were actually so embarrassed about. it wasn't like you were a virgin-saint. you glared at the road ahead as she smiled, taking her headphones back and putting them around her neck, coolly.

fucking ginge.

you turned the corner and parked up on the side walk. just round the corner from school - like she'd said. "thank you, sweetheart." molly smiled and leant over, kissing your cheek gently before getting out and slinging a bag over her shoulder.

your eyes widened and you  looked down. cheeks pink, you watched her walk the corner before bringing a hand to your cheek. what the fuck was wrong with you? shook your head, quickly revving your  van up and making the rest of your small journey to school.

as you parked up you saw molly meeting up with steve and robin in the parking lot. you always thought steve and robin had something going up before they met molly. then it appeared steve-the-hair-harrington was completely and utterly intrigued by this red head. surely, you thought, he must have a thing for her.

now, the thought of that upset you. steve's a good looking guy with a new girl every week and he wanted molly? out of all of his girlfriends he wanted your girl next door? well, not your girl but she wasn't his girl either. he didn't deserve molly. but, did you?

even if you did or didn't, the only one molly wanted was john bon jovi so. tough luck, steve harrington.

though she did point out, your and john bon jovi's hair looking the same...

you do not like molly mayfield.

you couldn't.
