molly's pov:

"please, please, please." dustin begged. "just for one night, i swear." he looked up at you, hands clasped together as you were both walking. "i'll literally do anything, okay? how about i do your homework for a week? i could get your grade changed, molly. molly. come on." he stopped in front of you, hands up as you stopped and looked down at him.

"fine, oh my god. you owe me big time. my english homework for two weeks when we come back off spring break." you stated.

dustin looked at you, reluctant.

"deal or no deal. take it or leave it, henderson."

"fine! tonight, during the basketball game." he says as he excitedly runs away. "no take-backs!"

you sigh, making your way towards the parking lot. you see steve and robin together, waiting at his car talking. then, you look around and catch sight of eddie walking into the woodland area next to the school. shit.

deciding to follow him, you turn on your heels. you had some more apologising and explanations to give. you ran up behind him and tap his shoulder. as he turned, you walk around in front of him from the opposite side that he turned, a sorrowful expression on your face.

as he turned his head towards you, you quickly say, "boo."

making him jump backwards, literally, his eyes expanded before taking the sight of you in. his expression dropped and he rolled his eyes.

"don't talk to me." he said as he began walking away. "you don't want to be seen with eddie-the-freak-munson. do you, sweetheart?" he taunted you.

"wait, just wait!" you begged, grabbing his arm and pulling him back. "i'm sorry, okay. i know it was a dick-move but please. let me explain."

he finally stopped, almost making you fall again if he didn't grab your waist just in time. "gp. explain." he let go of you quickly after making sure you were steadied and then he crossed his arms. he looked at you, upset and annoyed now.

"i'm sorry. first of all, everyone was looking. billy's friends were looking. i wasn't ready for them to talk to me. i'm not ready for them to talk to me... if i was clearly a friend of eddie munson's they'd be curious and start asking me questions. i don't want questions" you held your arm, awkwardly.

he glared at you, obviously still mad. "do you know how embarrassing that was for me. for once, the freak proves he can be more than.. mean and scary but then gets stood up and screamed at." he sighs. "i expose another side of myself and get called a freak, in front of everyone. and i thought we were friends. friends don't hide."

you look at him, ashamed. "i'm sorry, eddie. i am." he stays silent, looking into the woods. quickly, you step forward and wrap your arms around his waist, holding him tight. "i know i've known you for only today but i don't wanna go back to how it was before. i can talk to you, you're interested in what i have to say and i don't know. you're like a brother to me, i guess."

it was true, you thought uncertainly. he reminded you slightly of billy. confident and caring. tough exterior, soft interior. you didn't see billy in him or any kind of brother to be totally honest but he was so... lovely?

eddie's arms twitched as he slowly held you close to him. "a brother? really?" his voice cracked and he began to laugh, reminding you of the many times in your first year at hawkins high school maths class.

"i don't know, okay." you chuckled into his chest, before pulling away. "i'm sorry, is the point."

"i forgave you already, shut up." he replied.

you grinned. "make me sweetheart."

eddie's eyes widened and crossed his arms. "gotta be careful what you wish for sometimes."

you looked at him and his eyes that you could quite literally stare at for hours. his eyes were so beautiful and full of charm. "no nevermind, fuck off." you replied, clutching your stomach as you began to feel a strange sensation - probably from the dodgy canteen food.

"i actually had to be somewhere five minutes ago but i believe i've just missed them, you know." eddie said. "d'you wanna come help set up for my next campaign tonight?"

"your campaign? oh yeah, dustin invited me by the way. says he'll do my homework for two weeks." you grinned at eddie. "if i knew you ran the hellfire club, i'd have done it for free." you sarcastically said, trying to get back on eddie's good side.

he paused. "how do you not know i run the hellfire club?" he scoffed.

you shrugged truthfully. "i know shit all about it. i don't pay attention to hawkins high school's cliques, you should know that." you chuckled. "what do you guys even do?"

"come with me, i'll teach you sweetheart."
