max's pov:

you sat still, kate bush belting in your ear drums. you'd first hated her music, it was too bland and there was no fun to it. however, over the past few months, you'd grown attached to her lyrics. they'd made something inside you smile and you felt comfort whenever she started playing. honestly, her voice was so beautiful and it made you feel like you knew her on a personal level. you loved her.

you were hypnotised at the sound of her voice and you loved it. that was until you were jolted back to reality. your older sister tapped your shoulder, looking at you. "what?" you said, taking the headphones off.

"do you know how late mom's going to be working tonight? she left before i woke up-"

"that sounds like a you problem. if you weren't so fucking lazy and you actually woke up on time, maybe you'd have gotten chance to talk to her but no." you replied back, glaring at your sister.

"well i didn't, so get over it max. what time's she gonna be home?" she repeated.

"call her or something! and leave me the fuck-" you two were interrupted by a boy coming over. a boys you knew very well, dustin. "what do you want?" your voice sounded more calm now.

he smiled and put on an innocent face. "well, i was hoping if you- either of you," he turned, looking at molly, "were interested in joining hellfire. only for tonight, i swear.!" he smiled.

you and molly looked at each other. "would we get one of those cool shirts?" you said, sarcastically. you saw molly smile.

"hell yes. if you become an actual member, it's an essential." dustin said, excitedly.

"really?" molly added, in the same sarcastic tone.

dustin looked like he'd won the lottery. "yes, of course you-" his face dropped as you started walking away. "you were being sarcastic." he stated, looking at molly.
