The door finally opened. I saw him, Rain, whose hand is on the knob. I just calmly looked at him as I sat down.
"Are you okay?" he asked. I stood up and approached him.
"Yeah, I'm fine. I'm just checking on our kids." I was already stepping out the door when I touched the knob, trying to block him from entering inside.
"Rain, I'm sorry . . . I'm sorry for being so rough earlier. Maybe I'm just tired." For a moment, he pushed the knob, making the door open wide. He entered and leaned against them.
"Hey, kids." His face was full of a smile. I leaned against the wall while looking at them, especially at him. He's good at having a conversation, and it is one of the best parts of him as a businessman. He was a good father to them, and he never failed. I'm so proud to have a good husband like him. Rain is more than a business partner to me; he is also a brother and my best friend.
"Please, dad." My little girl is begging for something.
"Yeah, sure. How about you, River?"
"The same as with Lisa."
"I want a taste of the cookies and cream, dad."
"I want chocolate, dad."
"Okay. I will buy both of them." He kissed them on their heads and stood up well. I have also adjusted my erection. He said goodbye to them and made an approach to me. He finally closed the door and we walked away.
Walking down, they glance over as I pass. I exchanged it with a smile. We reached his car and we silently drove away. While the car is running, I stare out of the window, watching every view and person we passed by.
"Hon?" If he hadn't called me, I wouldn't have looked at him either. I was just looking at him.
"Are you really okay?"
"I'm not totally feeling well. Maybe I want to go home and have some rest."
"Maybe after lunch." I nod a little. I wasn't sure about what he said.
We headed to the supermarket to buy some food and meat for our lunch. We had everything we needed, so we went to the counter to pay the bills and went out. We ride again. He turned somewhere into a pastry shop. This time, I let him know that he could just get out of the car to buy what he wanted. He didn't stay in the shop that long and immediately returned to the car.
He brought bread, pies, and two large galloons of ice cream with two different flavors.
The sunshine is beautiful, but my mood is not like that.
Almost everyone was busy preparing for our lunch. We brought the food to the kitchen and placed it out of the plastic bags. Kim hurriedly followed me and she even helped me wash the cooking ingredients. Rain got a knife and a chopping board to slice the meat we had washed. The whole kitchen was silent except for the voice that could be heard from the water flowing into the sink and from the incision.
