"So, what's up with you and pretty boy?"

Ariana asked totally not feeling the sense of fear of calling her own Alpha 'pretty boy'. "We fought. It's common among couples. Don't worry," I said waving her off. "What did he do this time?' Ariana asked sighing while rubbing her left temple.

"He's being an ass," was my reply. Short but still a reply. "You can't lie to me. I know he's being more than an ass." She said patting my shoulder. "You're right. He is being more than ass. He is a stupid jerk who thinks he is everything and you know what? Im done with him. Im done with everything. Fuck everything I don't care anymore!" I took in a deep breath then continued.

"He called me 'clingy' because I asked him one question. One. Fucking. Question. So he thinks it's okay if he bombarded me with tons of questions and I can't even asked him one question. Unbelievable, " I snap.

"Acacia, calm down. Do you want me to be blunt on my opinion?" Ariana asked looking at me for my approval. "Yes, please." I replied. She took a deep breath and said "I don't know about the clingy part but I do notice that you've changed. Not in the good way. You became cold and all you care is just that you want things to go your way." She gave me a small smile and continued.

"You can't be selfish, Acacia. You need to open your eyes and look around. We miss the old you. We miss the sarcastic, carefree but a pain in the ass Acacia. Not this. Have you ever wondered why all these months, Eden seemed to be slipping away from you? It's because you were so busy making people like you until you forgot who you really are."

I look at her in the eyes but she ignored my gaze.

"Sure, sometimes I see the old you but please, don't be like this. I want the girl I met a year ago back. Look at your relationship with Axel. It's unhealthy. You guys keep on fighting. This is not how mates should be. You're an Everdeen. You should know better."

I kept silent and took in a sharp breath. "So you're saying that you missed someone who never existed and just because Im an Everdeen that means I should be perfect in everything?" I asked my voice sounding harsher than I intended to.

"What? No. I didn't mean it like that. I-"

"Then what?"

"I just- okay you know what? This is bullshit. I told you if you want a blunt opinion not the sugarcoated opinion and now you're getting mad at it. Oh fuck no. You asked for it so this is all on you, Acacia," She said pointing her long finger at me.

"Don't talk to me like that. I am your Luna therefore I demand respect from you," I felt my inner wolf comes out. Ariana didn't seem a bit fazed.

"See? That is what Im talking about. You want things to go your way. You want people to respect you but how can they when you don't even respect them yourself?" She said sighing at the end.

"I don't know what is wrong with everyone today. I didn't do anything yet people treat me like this," I stated. "Acacia please look at your surroundings. See the bigger picture. You've hurt everyone even if you don't realize it. You are a soon-to-be queen. You should be wiser. How are they going to follow your orders when you can't control your life?" Ari replied.

"Shut up just shut up! You don't know me. You don't know what I've been through. Hell, you don't even know my ways. So stop it. Stop acting like you know everything about me cause you don't . I know you're secretly implying me as a bitch but you know what? I am a bitch. I was born a bitch and nothing could change that," I said whispering the last sentence.

"I know you have a lot on your plate and you're struggling but for gods sake calm down. You can't act like this. This is not you. Don't think that because you're not telling people something then they won't know." she said. I look at her in confusion.

"I know Tate was your mate."
