Acacia and Axel went home after spending hours at the party. It didn't turn out so bad like Acacia thought it would. Sure the alcohol she drank controlled her a bit but that was it. Acacia showered and brushed her teeth. Alcohol do gives you bad breath.
She was about to go to sleep and snuggle with her beloved mate until she heard something. Shouts, screams, grunts just everything can be heard. She changed into something more proper because silk pajamas ain't right for the situation.
Axel too seemed to be alert. He looked out of the window and groaned. Acacia could see him mind-linking someone by the way that his eyes turned hazy. She grabbed a sword and a gun. She wouldn't need those but in case the people out there brought along Ryuwae Silver.
Ryuwae Silver was the only thing that could hurt a royal. Normal Silver just won't do the work. Ryuwae Silver was also scentless meaning no one can smell it. Axel and Acacia rushed down. Acacia gasped as she saw the sight in front of her. How in the world did the rogues escape the prison?
Bodies scattered everywhere and blood oh the smell of blood was sickening. It was too strong and they were all mixed up together. Acacia scrunched her nose in displeasure. Axel fought with a few wolves each coming onto him. Acacia too did fight but then she saw Logan being outnumbered.
Logan was an experienced fighter and he was fantastic at fighting--explains how he was the royal's top warrior and personal bodyguard. However, his age became a barrier to him. He was old; almost sixty-seven in fact. He tried taking the rogues down but it was to no avail.
That was all it needed for Acacia to run over there and help Logan. She fought the rogues off by killing them or slashing their throats--basically killing them--or even weaken them with silver. Of course her trusted sword went through some bodies but it was needed to be done.
She then helped Axel fighting them off. One rogue tried to claw her but Axel managed to kill it first. Acacia saw a pair of yellow eyes gleaming in the dark night. She could recognize those eyes anywhere.
Alarick.
It was him. He was the reason for this. Acacia felt anger and adrenaline pumping in her veins. Faster than lightning, she slashed a lot of throats but suddenly something clawed her from behind. She fell down wincing in pain.
The pain felt unbearable. It was something she never experienced before. It stung so bad and a small pool of liquid surrounded her body. Then she realised something.
The Ryuwae Silver was in her system. Dragging herself with every ounce of strength she had, she grabbed a white cloth and wrapped it tightly. She felt better since the Silver wasn't spreading but it still stung.
Those yellow eyes watched every move she made. She could see the annoyance and anger swimming in it's eyes. She never understood why Alarick hated the royal family so much.
Rogues saw her condition and took the opportunity to attack. Now she could see those yellow eyes smiling. If it thought she was going to die today, it was dead wrong.
Acacia fought them and even shooted some of them. The Silver bullet came in handy. Acacia was a sweating mess when it all finished. The rogues died but not the mysterious yellow eyes. Acacia stared at those eyes before it disappear into thin air.
She was sweating hard and so was Axel. He kissed the top of her forehead. Acacia could feel the relief in their mate bond. She knows how much she meant to Axel and vice versa.
Logan was rushed to the ICU of the royal hospital. He was in comatose and Acacia was worried. Logan was like the father she never had. Logan knew everything about her including the memories from when she experienced memory cloud.
Axel calmed his mate. She was indeed calm but curiosity overwhelmed her. Why is Alarick here? Why was he attacking? So many thoughts ran in her mind.
The questions that will never be answered.
Acacia sighed and lean onto Axel's chest. The warmth of his body was something Acacia liked. He was always so warm sometimes she felt as if Axel was her personal heater.
Don't get her wrong but it would be cool if Axel was. But a funny sight too. Imagine Axel heating a wet towel with his body. Acacia chuckled inwardly.
Acacia let out a huge and embarrassingly loud sigh. What was happening to her life? She could feel Axel's hand brushing her hair as he hummed softly.
Acacia stared into his eyes and he did the same. Somehow, they ended up having a full on makeout session. Their lips brushing against each other and their tongues moved in sync. The cloth that was meant to stop the spreading of the Ryuwae Silver fell off.
Nonetheless, Acacia felt content. She felt like she was home. They pulled away and her tiredness was too much so she gave into the dark.
But she forgot all about the Ryuwae Silver spreading in her body
//A conversationless (Is that even a word?) chapter wohoo! Who knew I had the capable of doing that? Lol. I made 'Ryuwae' up so don't even bother searching for it. Okay if you thought that I'm just gonna spill all the drama in one chapter then you're wrong. Chapter 25 is just the start for dramas.
Oh and I know that you are still confused with Alarick and well everything about him but don't worry. It will all be in due time. Until then, enjoy double updates of the same chapter.
Love you and bye
