"This is serious."

I snapped looking at the other Alphas in the meeting room. Instantly, Axel wrapped his arm around my waist in order to calm me down. I sighed while rubbing my temples in frustration. "Sorry," I muttered quietly but knowing by the silence of this room and their heightened senses, they can hear it quite clearly.

"My king, I was wondering if we could just increase the security in the pack borders while we send a few warriors to do a quick search," Alpha Giullard from Black River pack spoke his thoughts. "That's not a bad idea," agreed Alpha Suedde from Half Gold pack.

"I guess we could do that," Axel said nodding slightly. "It's settled then. Have guards patrol the pack house and warriors searching at the near or free territories. Then have your women train to fight. I don't think their training for self defense is enough. Build a secret area - underground perhaps for kids and elderly people. We will have a further discussion later," he spoke ending the meeting.

When everyone was out if the door, he slumped on his chair. "This is madness. If one aconite is stolen then it wouldn't have made much difference but all of it? This is a serious threat," he sighed. I bit my lip still feeling awkward from what happened earlier.

"I'm just going to go now," I said laughing awkwardly. I didn't know what to do or how to react. I was lucky that Tate or Lillian didn't notice the tension between us.

Say something Axel please.

One step closer to the door.

Please.

My right hand reaching the doorknob.

"Wait!"

My breath stopped for a moment.

Slowly, I turned around to face him. My heart was beating fast and I was so nervous. Licking my lips in order to make it wet, I shifted my gaze to his eyes. Oh those eyes I could get lost in.

"I just want to say I'm sorry f-for overreacting earlier," he stuttered making me blink in surprise. "You didn't overreact. It was my fault anyway," I mumbled quietly. Somehow the ground was looking quite interesting so I just had to stare at it.

"No it was mine."

"Would you stop that?"

"What?"

"Can you just please stop thinking that everything's your fault when it's clearly mine, Axel," I said somehow finding the courage to look into his eyes. "What happened earlier is my fault. You can't deny that. I should've just given you more time and respected your decisions," he sighed.

"No Axel. I should've not kept so many things away from you. It was wrong for me to keep you in the dark." I sighed before adding, "Look I'm sorry. I didn't mean to do that. I just felt like I was pressured."

His face softens the slightest bit and he stared at me with his gorgeous eyes. "I'm sorry too," he said quietly. In a swift motion, the door was locked and he had pinned against the wall.

"I love you," he said before his lips met mine. It was a kiss filled with so much need, hunger and regret. It was fierce kiss and it was nothing like I've ever experienced before. "I love you too," I replied in between kisses.

"But we can't keep on doing this."

I couldn't believe my ears and turns out my heart doesn't too.

"What?"

"All we do is fight and then make up, Acacia. It's driving me insane. Our relationship is unstable. We need a break," he stated in a calm manner. I was left speechless. Unable to form words for the rest of the minute, I just nodded shakily. I let my hands do the door unlock thing and let my gaze drop to the floor.

"Alright then," I said barely above the whisper tone. "For god's sake- you know I don't mean it like that," he spoke reaching out to hold my shoulders. "Oh I know what you mean," I hissed before bolting out of the door and letting those treacherous tears fall.

I feel like shit urgh. I think that Nothing Left by Kygo suits their situation although it's not a sad song but the lyrics are relatable. I'm so sorry for not updating for god knows how long. Does anyone hate me now? I mean- oh whatever. Bye guys :*
