Dead? He can't be.

I finally got the strength to sit up. Adrenaline started to rush inside of me.

"Loid..." I said softly.

Loid was still straddled over the guy. Staring at his lifeless body. His hands still shaking uncontrollably.

For some reason I started to feel calm. I guess somebody had to be in this situation.

I kneeled over next to Loid and grabbed his shoulder. His body seemed to shake less when I touched him.

"What now?" I asked him.

"Let's leave," Loid said calmly.

"But... what about the body?" I asked.

"There's no cameras in this building surprisingly. I had Franky check earlier. There's too many people here to even remember who they saw walking into this room," Loid said.

"O-Okay," I said timidly.

I put my dress back on while Loid stayed in his same position, straddling the guy.

"Well, let's go then..." I said softly.

Loid slowly stood up and turned towards me. Luckily his shirt was black, the blood on it just looked like spilled drinks. However, he had little drops of blood on his face. I walked over to him and lightly wiped them off with my thumb. He grabbed my wrist and looked into my eyes. I winced at his sudden grasp.

"Forget this happened," he said sternly.

"Okay..." I said.

We quickly left.

———

We opened the door to the apartment and headed to the bathroom immediately. Loid limped in and I followed from behind.

"Woah, woah, what happened?!" Franky asked concernedly. Getting off the couch where he was watching tv.

"You can leave now. Thank you for your help with Anya, Franky," Loid said calmly.

"But-"

"Part of our mission is completed and I'm tired... leave," he said raising his voice to Franky.

Franky sighed and walked out the door.

Loid started to look pale, I hope he was okay.

"Come on, let's get you cleaned up," I said to Loid, grabbing his arm.

Loid shrugged me off of him.

"Tch. I can do it myself," he said coldly.

I scoffed, "You look like you're about to pass out, let me just help you."

Loid waddled over to the bathroom door and I followed. Good thing I did, Loid fell to his knees as soon as he entered the bathroom.

"I told you," I said rolling my eyes. "Are you okay?"
