I was quite exhausted. Killing people takes a lot out of me mentally and physically. Hence the physical part as I literally just finished burying Ryders dead body. However, it needed to be done. He can't torture her anymore.
I took a big breath as I dragged myself towards the door of the apartment. I really just wanted to check on (Y/N) and go to bed.
I hope she's okay. I hate seeing her all depressed. I get it, she killed her brother. But in the end, he was a menace to society. He was a danger to all of us. We do what we feel is right in the moment. And in that moment, (Y/N) felt like the best option was to end her brothers life... to save mine.
I swung the door open and rubbed my eyes from tiredness. I closed it and softly gasping to the scene in front of me.
What just happened...?
(Y/N) gave me a harsh gaze as she sat on the couch. Her whole body was trembling. She looked... terrified.
(Y/N) shot up from the couch and slowly started walking towards me.
"I-I... u-um..."
Her voice shook immensely. She fondled with her hands as she continued to approach me.
"S-She... u-um..."
I looked over her shoulder to see Yor tied up in a chair... so still.
I brushed passed (Y/N) to get a better look.
"L-Loid..." she said, trying to grab my shoulder to stop me from getting any closer to Yor.
I snugged myself from her grasp and stood in front of Yor, examining her. (Y/N) watched from a distance. I wasn't looking at her, but I could hear her whimpering in the background.
Jesus... there were so many stab marks on Yor's body. So much blood shed. This was definitely done out of hate... out of anger... out of jealousy. It was written all over her body. I could see it so clearly. I know it because I did the same thing...
This made me realize something.
(Y/N) finally spoke as she watched my face grow stiff, thinking about the situation.
"I... I had to," she cried.
That she would go above and beyond. I didn't reply. I didn't even look at her. I was still so stunned.
"She... s-she was gonna k-kill you... I w-wanted to protect you..."
