Chapter 22

"Love! Love! Wake up!" Dahan-dahang binuksan ni Trey ang isang mata niya at kinusot naman 'yong isa. "The lights are here!"

For our anniversary celebration, we went on a camping van and waited for the aurora borealis to appear. Kaso itong kasama ko ay nakatulog. Paano naman kasi ay nananakit daw 'yong katawan niya sa kaka-horseback riding namin kanina. Expert na expert kasi siya kung makapagturo sa akin pati na 'yong bungee jumping, e siya naman 'tong sigaw ng sigaw.

"Whoa! Ang ganda!" Napatakip ako ng mga kamay ko sa bibig, manghang-mangha.

"Wear this, bunnyhead." Pinasuot sa'kin ni Trey iyong beanie niya sa akin. We were both enthralled of this heaven-like sight. We waited long for this.

"What did you wish?" Tanong ni Trey sa akin.

"Secret! Ikaw muna."

It seemed comical but an unfeigned intention that we didn't wish for ourselves. Instead, we chose to wish for each other's happiness. His happiness is my happiness.

Kinabukasan, pagkatapos ng camping ay bumalik na kami para mag-explore ng city. We were planning to try Norweigan foods and to go on shopping. Trey looked carefree despite how tired he is. He just can't get off of his smile ever since we began the trip.

Nasisiyahan lang ako dahil sa totoo may mood swings din 'to minsan. Iyong bigla na lang siyang mananahimik tapos mag-aarangka na naman ng joke ulit mula sa kawalan. Pero ngayong bakasyon na 'to,  simula't umalis kami ng bansa, maintain ng mokong ang happy vibes niya.

It may sound immature for people who don't know him but this is what I admire him the most, his unreadable personality and humor. After a year of being in-an-ultimate-secret-protected-relationship, we got to know each other's flaws and strength. It's the reason why we became dependent and can understand each other.

"What's the problem love?" Trey asked when he noticed my glance. Naghihintay kami ngayon ng pagkain namin.

"Uh, nothing!"

"Sorry, just work." He gestured me his phone, apologetic. Abala kasi siya sa kaniyang telepono habang ako ay nakamasid lang sa paligid. Hindi naman 'yon ang concern ko.

"It's fine, go on."  I gave him an assuring smile. We both noticed some people from the other table looking at our direction. We knew that those people have an idea that I'm not just with an ordinary person.

Umakto lang kaming normal. Wala namang lumapit sa amin. Hindi naman gaano kita ang hitsura ni Trey. Nakasuot siya ng shades tsaka black cap. He wore a black sweater inside that perfectly hugged his body and a denim jacket. The stubborn edge of his mullet haircut served him a cool manly look.

Pansin ko ay nag-mature na 'yong features niya ngayon. Parang biglaan na lang na glow-up. The contour of his face became more define. Nasobrahan na yata 'to sa kaka-diet e.

Is he even real? Damn this handsome face. Nagsisimula na rin siyang mag-work-out ngayon. Pinagmamayabang niya pa sa akin 'yong biceps niya.

"C'mon love! You're wasting time!" Boses ni Trey mula sa patio kung nasaan ang jacuzzi. I was still tying my hair when I came out of the room to join him.

"Whoa, lamig." Napayakap ako ng sarili. Nakasuot lang ako ng tank top tsaka swimming shorts.

"Feels good, right?" Nakasandal na ang ulo ni Trey sa dulo ng jacuzzi. "Is it too hot? Should I adjust it?"

Umiling ako sa kaniya. "Okay na love." Tumango siya at kinilayan ako. Napatigil ako ng hinubad niya ang suot niyang t-shirt at tinapon 'yon sa labas ng jacuzzi. Now I can see the strips of water glistening on his collarbone.
