A Quick Recap

[A/N- This is a short summary of the story. I know a lot of you guys have forgotten the story because I haven't updated the new chapters in long, so this recap will let you guys recall what had happened so far.]

*REVENANT*

Following Arabella and Lucca's fake death in the finale of Resilience, they were woken up in Russia in Arabella's maternal grandparents house, where Lucca and Arabella stayed undercover for two years for training, becoming infamous assassins Zen-Zena Ivanov.

After two years of intensive training, Arabella and Lucca were reunited with their family, and Arabella's maternal grandfather Elric Ivanov joined them on their visit.

There was a whole aftermath of their fake deaths, where Arabella's father became an alcoholic, Lucca's mother entered a psychiatric institution, Matthew and Emilio joined the Military, Kyson went MIA, and everyone began to drift apart as a result of their deaths.

Rhett, on the other hand, had become Alexander's Mafia's right hand man. He knew Arabella was alive since an year or so, because he saw her and Lucca in an underground match when he went to get information on 'Zella and Zen.'

He felt betrayed, and as a result, Rhett has been hostile to Arabella since the reunion began.(Loophole- I have not made it clear in the story yet, but Rhett finding out about Arabella and Lucca was mostly planned by Alexander and Arabella. To be honest, I forgot about it lol, I'll make it more clear in the later part of the story.)

She then gave them an explanation as to why she didn't return home until two years later. She told them that she was born to a different mother than her brothers, who was also Cora's (the brothers' biological mother) twin, and was murdered by Cora.

One of the main reasons she stayed in Russia was to honour the death of her real mother (Angelina Ivanov), hence, to take her rightful place as the Donna of Russian Mafia, and Lucca stayed behind for his sister, taking on the role of Arabella's right hand man.

So, after the long reunion drama was over, Arabella received a call from a certain 'She' who reminded Arabella of the fact that she had returned home for a reason. Arabella confirmed that she was going along with the plan of her revenge that she was going to carry out under the disguise of her reunion.

The story progressed with Arabella showing her interest to take charge of her brothers Mafia (Italian-American Mafia which was now amalgamated into one mafia).

Of course, there was the little shit's (Bryn Hayes) occasional visit between chapters, who believed that Arabella was his mother.

Anyhow, on the matter of owner ship of the Mafias, Arabella and Alexander had a brutal verbal exchange that resulted in a physical fight.

The fight resulted in Arabella's father (Robert King) to finally step out of his dormant state (basically he was doubting himself, and was staying in the shadows trying to fight his addiction) and during Arabella and Alexander's fight, he learned about one of Arabella's secrets.

He basically discovered that his father (Alfonzo King) was lying about being in a coma, and he made a trip to the hospital to find out more.

During this time, Rhett and Arabella made some progress in their relationship, with Rhett admitting that he didn't want any more hostility between them and that he wanted to work things out.

Their moment was interrupted by Lucca, who informed Arabella that Robert had gone to hospital to meet a very 'awake' Alfonzo (grandfather), and the three of them proceeded to the hospital.

The hospital visit explained almost the entirety of what had happened to Arabella in the last two years and, also revealed the person whom she wanted revenge from.

Alfonzo had pretended to be in coma in the pretext to discover who had really orchestrated the fallout and kidnapping of Arabella and Lucca. Meanwhile, the certain 'She' contacted him, and it was then that he discovered the truth behind everything that had happened from Cora to Arabella's birth.

The 'She' was no other than Angelina Ivanov (Arabella's mother) who was betrayed by her own father, Elric Ivanov, the true mastermind behind everything that had happened with Arabella.

Arabella birth was a all pre-planned to bring down American and Italian Mafias for the gain of Russian Mafia. Elric had planned to drug Angelina and Robert. Being Cora's identical twin, Robert consummated with Angelina taking her to be Cora, hence resulting in Angelina's pregnancy.

Angelina did not want to be a part of the Mafia after becoming pregnant, so she fled, only to find refuge with Cora. The former was unaware that the latter had been operating under her father's command since the beginning.

After learning about their father's dirty politics, which was intended to create a rift between the sisters', they decided to completely cut off their connection with Elric, but they were unaware that Elric had implanted a chip in their bodies that allowed him to track them at all times.

The day Angelina went into Labour, Elric paid a visit to the hospital, and after shooting Angelina to death, he threatened Cora to take Arabella away and do aa he says in exchange of safety for Cora's sons, which is how her abuse started.

Fortunately, Angelina had not died and remained hidden recuperating from her near-death experience, and after recovering she went on with building a new empire for herself in order to face her father and protect her daughter, about whom she had no knowledge. (I've not yet explained what exactly happened to Angelina after her near-death experience, as well as why she didn't find Arabella sooner, it'll be disclosed later in the story).

While all of them were discussing about the plans for revenge, they were unaware of the fact that Elric Ivanov was already aware of Angelina's truth, as well as aware of the fact that Arabella was working against him with her grandfather and brothers.

Following the hospital scene, there was a Christmas celebration during which the family decided to play secret santa and go to a mall to get gifts.

Arabella had also planned for a fun family play time with her brothers, specially to reconcile the differences that had taken home between Mason and Kyson. The latter had left the house two years ago after deliberately creating a huge fight with Mason, which was all planned by Alexander.

Kyson was taken to Russia, where is was reunited with Arabella, Lucca and rest.

Along with Matthew and Emilio, who were brought back from the military, he also remained undercover, serving as a confidant in Alexander's plan.

Matthew's fiance, Ezra Reyes, was also aware of the entire situation and he also joined forces to extract revenge for the wrongs Arabella and her family suffered. His identity is complicated by the fact that he is the oldest son of Don of the Spanish Mafia, which has long been an ally of the Russian Mafia.

The last scene was of Rhett and Arabella making out in the ladies room in the mall.
