ARABELLA's POV

Walking into the hospital room where my grandfather was, supposed to remain, confined to a coma for the past two years, I knew this was the moment when every truth that I had kept from my father was meant to come to light.

When I walked into the room, I was welcomed with a slew of emotions.

Calm and Carefree; My grandfather was lazily leaning on his hospital bed eating a slice of apple without the care in the world.

Expressionless; Alexander and Dante standing in the room looking completely void of what they might be feeling.

Shocked; I'm pretty sure my blank-faced father was shocked to see his own father munching on Apples as if he hadn't been pretending to be in a coma for the last two years.

Angry; This might not go well with my grandmother who looked pissed as hell.

And overshadowing each of these emotions was silence, a very uneasy and tense silence which aptly represents the one before the storm.

Lucca and Rhett were awkwardly walking behind me and the moment my family's strained eyes fell on us they stiffened, realising that there's nothing left to delay the moment of confrontation.

"Grandpa-Grandma." I said as I acknowleded them with a nod of my head.

My grandfather smiled and offered me a slice of apple which I declined, and shook my head in disbelief not understanding how he could be so calm, whereas my grandmother tightened her jaw before slowly nodding back.

Oh, she was enraged!

She, after all, didn't know anything either,

And her anger was pretty justifiable.

"Someone tell me what is going on, and I don't fucking care who does it and don't even bother with how is anyone doing or how the fuck the weather is, just get right to the point." Grandmother was the one to break the uncomfortable silence, her voice firm and I along with my brothers looked at Grandfather to take the lead.

Even though I was the leader of a mafia, my rationality told me there was no way I could deal with my grandmother's anger.

I definitely don't want to get burned in that crossfire.

"Calm down, honey, I'll tell you everything." Grandpa said and I noticed grandmother's fist clenched in anger as she glared at grandpa.

Oh he fucked up!

"You better have a goddamn good reason for the last two years when I helplessly watched every member of my family break, or I'll be the one holding the damn guns this time." Grandmother said, and my anxiousness rose when I saw grandpa visibly gulping.

I cast a glance at Lucca, and that idiot was, as expected, smirking at grandfather, looking clearly amused.

I can't blame him though, learning not to show emotions, particularly fear, was the first thing Lucca and I learned from grandpa, and safe to say, he didn't train us as if we were his grandchildren.

"Well, dear, take a seat...." Grandpa trailed off, unsure how to progress considering how angry grandma looked.

"I don't want to hear anything from you. Arabella, speak." Grandma stated harshly, and I felt I was being put on the spot as all eyes turned to stare at me.

I saw my grandfather visibly sighing in relief causing me to automatically narrow my eyes at him.

Don't choose violence on elderly!!!!!
