Daycare attendant

Have you ever felt so anxious that you literally couldn't close your eyes to sleep and kept waking up periodically between hours, looking at the time on your phone while thinking; "This is the worst." ? I have. For the past week.

Eung had left closing the daycare to Sun. After all the kids had been picked up, Eung had said his goodbyes to Sun and left. Awaiting for good news about Suns situation tomorrow. He had suggested to go home with Sun and stay nearby if it made him feel better, but Sun had declined the offer. He needed to do this alone.

Sun was walking down the road home. He usually ran in order to get home faster ever since Moon and Mel had moved in. He was excited to talk and eat with them. To not come back to an empty and quiet space.

Some wouldn't mind living alone. In fact the idea sounds ideal to most young adults. But due to how Sun grew up, and how he liked to interact with people...being alone was almost dreadful.

Sun laughed at that thought. He saw himself as a baby for feeling that way.

Eung lives alone and he doesn't complain nearly as much as I do... Sun thought.

He looked up at his front door.

I'm starting to wonder if the universe is messing with me. I walked didn't I? How did I get here so fast? Sun grumbled inside his head.

Sun sighed. Moon is probably cooking something delicious again. He thought. He could smell it from outside.

Sun had decided that he would wait for Melody to go to sleep upstairs, and then he would talk to Moon downstairs. If the talk turned...unpleasant ( Sun thinking he will be rejected ) then at least Mel would not hear. He gathered up his courage and placed his key in the doors lock,

He turned the key and opened the door.

Moon had dropped Mel off at school and then went to work.

Moon had decided to tell Sun how he felt tonight. It was clear now that Sun was feeling the same towards him, and to be honest. He couldn't wait much longer.

His day at work went normal. Roxy and Chica were a bit worried because of how quiet he was. But they knew that if he needed to talk about something, he would come to them. So they left him to his thoughts and surprisingly, left him alone for the day.

I might be wrong but...Sun seemed a little shaken when he kissed me. Ignoring the fact that he ran away afterwards, maybe he isn't sure about his feelings yet. Moon thought.

He had planned to make a special dinner and to bring some flowers for Sun. Suns front garden was always well kept, so it was safe to say that a new species of flowers would be a welcome gift.

I wonder if I can get Roxy and Chica to babysit Mel for tonight. Mel wouldn't mind i'm sure. She always loved to hang out with them. Moon thought as he brewed an order. It hit Moon that his friends had left him alone for the majority of the day. So he decided to go ask them for a favor on his break.

Which would be in about.... Moon thought, turning his head towards the clock on the wall.... ten minutes. He concluded.

Moon spent those minutes thinking how he could make tonight special. In a way, he was sure he wasn't going to take 'no' for an answer. If Sun decided he wasn't ready or if he isn't sure of his feelings, then Moon would simply wait for him. For however long it takes, he was determined to earn Suns love and affection.

Moon headed to the kitchen where he was sure Chica was. He pushed the door and saw her stuffing her face with pizza. Moon made a disgusted expression before approaching his friend.

"You realize you have to chew..right?"

Chica glared at him. She still had a bit of pizza in her mouth so she started chewing loudly. She swallowed her food, then spoke; "Happy?"

Moon looked at her, quite disturbed by her. "No. Somehow that was worse. Whatever, I have a favor to ask of you and Roxy" Moon told her. He took a seat across from chica.

Chica nodded. "Roxy is making herself coffee right now, but what is it?"

"I need you to babysit Mel for tonight." Moon said. He already expected Chica to agree.

Chica smiled. She loved hanging with Mel! "Sure, but how come?" Chica asked confused.

Moon stared at her with a blank face. "Just because."

Chica laughed. "Wow. Could you be any more cryptic?"

Moon smirked.

Chica rolled her eyes. "For how long?" She asked.

Moon thought. "Maybe...until tomorrow?" He said.

Chica hummed then smiled.
"Awesome! We could have a sleepover! I made chocolate chip cookies yesterday! This is going to be the best girls night ever!" Chica exclaimed. Clearly overjoyed with the idea.

Suddenly, the door to the room was flung open. Startling the two.

"What girls night?" Roxy walked in. Her tough character startling the two in the room more. She walked towards her friends and plopped down in a chair, crossing her legs and taking a sip from her coffee. For some reason, she always looked annoyed.

Chica spoke up first. "Moon asked for us to babysit his little sister tonight!" Roxy raised an eyebrow. She turned her stare at Moon, waiting for an explanation from him.

"I just thought you would like to hang out after so long.." He lied. Moon didn't really want to tell them about his plans.

"No..." Roxy started. Not believing him. Moon cringed at that. "theres another reason, isn't there?"
Moon frowned at her. She smirked. "Moon you're a good liar. I'll give you that. But until you tell me why you want to have that sunshine all to yourself tonight, I won't accept to anything." She stated. Moons eyes widened at the accusation. Chicas face brightened upon hearing that.

"Wait!" Chica stood and slammed both hands on the table while she leaned towards Moon. "Is that why you want us to take Melody?! So you can make a move on a cutie?!" She pouted.

Moon was blushing darkly at this. He didn't expect Roxy to know about his crush on Sun. Or about Sun at all. He turned to look at her. "How?" He asked incredulously.

She smirked. "So you admit it's because you were planning on making a move?" She asked. Moon stared at her confused. Didn't she just say Sunny's name?
"All I said was "that sunshine" dude." She stated. Moons eyes widened at that.
He fell for her trap.
Moon snarled at her.

Roxy bursted into a fit of laughter. Chica kept asking him who caught his eye. They never thought their emo friend would fall in love. Moon let them have their moment of teasing him long enough. He spoke up.

"Will you or will you not help me take care of Mel for tonight!" He screamed exasperated. Roxy asked again, "Tell us who it is. I won't bother you much longer considering we have to go back to work soon. A simple name will do."
Chica agreed, nodding enthusiastically.

Moon hesitated but then said,
"...His name is Sun. AND" he snarled "I'm asking him out. Not 'making a move' in the way you were implying."

Roxy hummed in appreciation. Chica smiled brightly at the wonderful name.

"Sun and Moon" Chica said as both girls got up from the table. "It has a nice ring to it!" She winked at Moon. Then they walked out. Heading back to work. And leaving a flustered Moon sitting still in the table.
