James flicked his wand towards the radio in the corner of the room. The songs quiet intro began playing through the common room.

It was their last night of school ever, so they were going to cherish is. Lily was curled up to James, and Sirius was sitting on the floor, Remus on the chair above him.

Hearing the music, Sirius quickly stood and walked to Lily. He held his hand, and she laughed while taking it. They began to dance to a tempo that was completely different from the song. For the rest of the song, they danced insanely, while their significant others watched.

The song ended and O Children by Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds started playing.

James stood up and held his hand to Remus.

"If they can do it, so can we" he said while the two stood and danced.

The only thing to be heard was the laughter of the teens and the soft music.

They danced, and the song repeated. On the third repeat, James and Sirius switched, letting the couples stand with each other.

Lily slid one arm around James' neck, her other hand going into his hand. James' free hand wrapped around her waist. Sirius and Remus got into the same position.

They danced for ages.

The song repeated itself twelve different times that night, but none of them cared. It was perfect.

Oh Children, Lift up your voice

They were laughing, having fun. They didn't have to think about the world or the war. They didn't have to think about how society saw them. They didn't have to think about their classmates or their last day of school. They didn't have to think of packing. They didn't have to think about their future.

They just had to dance.

James spun Lily around and dipped her, kissing her softly. She stood back up and put both arms around his neck, his arms around her waist.

It was perfect.

Ron left. He left and they had no idea what to do.

Hermione sat with the locket feeling heavy on her neck, with Harry across the tent. They were both lost in thought.

Harry listened to the soft music playing. He hadn't even realized they turned it on. An idea came to his head. He stood.

She stood with him and he pulled the locket from her neck. The music got louder.

He moved his shoulders back and forth, trying to make her laugh. When she didn't, he took her hands and pulled her into the same rhythm as him.

She loosened and felt the weight of the war leave her shoulders for just a minute.

They spun around the tent and she dipped him
after he twirled her.

Oh Children, Lift up your voice

The forgot about the war. The world stopped for a minute. All there was, was them. And that's all there needed to be.

They laughed together, allowing the song to slow down and come to an end. They stood together, arms around one another.

It was perfect.
