It'll be fine, they're going to love you" Remus said, taking Sirius' hand into his and giving it a gentle squeeze, "I'm not worried about them not liking me, It's just that..." Sirius trailed off, turning to look down. "Then what is it?" Remus asked, turning to look down at the shorter man, "How will they react when they find out I'm a Black? Who my parents are? Or that we're together" Sirius turned to look up at Remus, his eyes worried, "Don't worry. My mum won't care" Sirius looked unsure, "And your father?" Remus cursed in his mind, he was just going to worry Sirius more, I'm sure it'll be fine" Sirius looked unsure but turned to look at the road anyway. "Remus!" they turned to look when they heard a woman's voice calling for them, Sirius pulled his hand away from Remus', "Mum!" Remus said, pulling the woman into a hug, "And who is this?" she asked, turning, "This is Sirius, he's my boy- he's my friend from school. He'll be spending Christmas with us. Sorry for not telling earlier, we didn't really plan it" Remus explained, "Well, it's nice to meet you, Sirius" She said, smiling and shaking his hand when he offered it to her, "Nice to meet you, ma'am"

The car ride wasn't long, but it felt as if it was going on forever. Sirius was awkwardly sitting in the backseat, playing with his jacket buttons while Remus and Hope talked. When they finally pulled up to the house, Sirius seemed to relax some, the house wasn't anything special, it was a two-story house with a small yard surrounded by a forest and a shed next to the house, "Remus, help me with the groceries" Hope said, Sirius got out of the car and awkwardly stood with his trunk on his side while Remus and his mother got all of their belongings out of the car, "I can help" He said awkwardly, "No, no, it's fine. You're our guest, you just get comfortable" Hope said. Sirius glanced at Remus, who just rolled his eyes and mouthed, "Don't worry about it" before turning around and heading towards the house. When they stepped in, Sirius was taken aback, the house was nothing like his parent's or James', the house was warm, with warm colours, unlike his former house, which was dark, cold and bitter. Even James' house wasn't like this, the Potter's house was posh and clearly belonged to a wealthier family. "Sirius?" he turned to look up at Remus, who was standing next to him, "Are you okay?" He asked. Sirius shook his head, "I'm fine, It's nothing" Remus looked at him for a moment, "Okay" They took their jackets and shoes off, leaving them in the hallway, "Take your trunks upstairs, I'll make something to eat" Hope said, "Thanks mom" Remus said before turning to Sirius and taking their trunks, "Come on" Sirius gave Hope a quick smile and they disappeared into the stairs, "So, where does your father work exactly?" Sirius asked while they walked towards Remus' room, "At the ministry, in the department for the regulation and control of magical creatures. Why?" Sirius shook his head, "Just curious"

Sirius placed his trunk in the corner of Remus' room, he stretched and took a look around. One wall had a build-in bookshelf, the walls were covered in posters and pictures, along with Gryffindor themes items, the bed was big and in the middle of the carpet were two beanbags with pillows and blankets on them, the ceiling had glow in the dark stars and planets. "I love your-" Sirius was cut off by Remus slamming him against the door and pulling him into a kiss, which took Sirius by surprise. When they finally had to pull away for air, Sirius whispered, "Your mother might notice" Remus chuckled, their lips just an inch away from each other, "It'll be fine, she won't" He pulled Sirius into another kiss, turning Sirius to their left and allowing both of them to fall on the bed, Sirius chuckled, pulling Remus closer by his shirt collar. Remus had just opened the first button of Sirius' shirt when there was a knock on the door, "Remus? Your father is home, can you go and help him with his things?" Hope's voice called from the hall just outside the door, both of them froze in surprise, Remus only responding after Sirius hit him on the arm to get him to focus, "Yeah, I'll be right down!" He turned to look back down at Sirius, giving him a quick kiss on the cheek before getting up and straightening his clothes a bit.
