Lupin-Potter Family

A/N: I'm a 2005 kid so most of my Oneshots are gonna be modern time bc I wasn't around in the 90's and while I do know about it, I tend to forget what they had and didn't have so most of these will be modern time. Also I'm American so I'm not sure if a Pine Martin is even an animal I found on google and idk if they can climb trees or not but I didn't feel like looking it up so let's pretend they're an animal and that they can climb or live in trees. I suck at endings and titles.

Lupin Cottage
Tintern, Wales

Sirius Lupin smiled and shook his head fondly at his almost 16 year old godson. Hadrian Lupin-Potter could been seen at the back of Lupin Cottage chasing a small Pine Martin. The Pine Martin could easily get away by climbing up a tree but seemed to be having fun with Hadrian or Harry as he's also called.

Around 20 minutes beforehand, Sirius' husband, Remus, had told Harry that if he caught the animal then he could keep it as a pet.  So here we are, 20 minutes later Sirius and his almost one year old son Julien Lupin sat on their back porch watching Harry.

Julien Rhys Lupin, or Jules as they've been calling him lately, stared at his godfather intently. He was so fond of Harry. He loves Harry so much and Harry loved him equally as much. His first word was even Prongslett.

At the sight of Jules smiling and giggling at Harry, who had just fallen trying to catch the stupid Martin; Sirius began thinking about the past three years.

It was just three years ago when Sirius thought he would never get out of Azkaban. Then he did escape and he found his lovely godson. He was so damn scared he'd hate him but it turned out once he knew the truth he grew to love him.

He also found his perfect Moony, who he thought for sure would have moved on without him. But he didn't and part of Sirius wanted to cry out of both happiness and sadness.

It was two years ago when with the help of the Tonks family, Sirius had gotten freed. Of course it took a while. Harry and his both current and old friends testified saying that Sirius was innocent.

They had to take the case to France and Russia and even America before they could have a trial here in Britain. You see the British minister of Magic refused to see that Sirius was innocent. So in order for him to get a trail they'd first have to go to the two other major magical countries. They also went to America just to have an extra opinion.

Then on July 31, 2021 Sirius had given birth to his son Julien Rhys Lupin. Julien looked just like Remus but with Sirius' eyes. Hardly a half hour after his birth his godfather, Harry held him for the first time.

Harry fell in love with him the second he saw him. He loved Jules with his whole being, possibly as much as his girlfriend, Hermione. He had even gotten to saying that Jules was the best birthday present they could have ever gotten him.

Obviously Harry's never had a kid before but when he first held Jules he felt what he could only imagine how his own parents felt when they had him.

Then after a few minutes of Harry looking at him Remus had snapped him out of his trance and asked him to be The Godfather. At first Harry was gonna deny saying that he was only 15 but Sirius and Remus were both just so sure that he was the perfect person, he accepted.

Now in just a week or so Harry was gonna be 16 and Jules was gonna be 1. How time flies. Sirius smiled at his small family sadly.

If only James and Lily were here. They'd be so proud of their son.

Sirius was then snapped out of his trance by Harry coming up to the gate saying "Look what I got!" While smiling widely.

Sirius couldn't help but smile back. Harry was trying to unlatch the baby gate that holds Julien in. But Julien was pressing against it trying to get to his godfather.

"Well I can't open it if your leaning against it!" Harry said jokingly to Julien as he picked him up. Julien instantly went to touch the Pine Martin. "Careful." Harry warned the 11 month old.

"What are you gonna name him?" Sirius asked

"I dunno. Maybe Sparrow. Like Captain Jack Sparrow." Harry said smiling as he brought both his new pet and godson to show Remus.

Sirius smiled fondly at his family- and apparently his new pet- and followed them inside.

If someone had told 15 year old him this is where he'd end up he'd laugh in their face. 15 year old Sirius always thought he'd either be stuck in Grimmauld's Place forever or he'd be killed there by the time he was 17.
