Akio POV

'This is stupid.' We were all in the lounge talking about what was gonna happen today and the events of yesterday. Papa decided it would be a good idea to throw a huge ceremony in our honor, probably to boost morale. The more motivated we are the harder well fight, and the longer he can stay in power.

I'll admit I used to be really excited about this kind of thing, but after learning the truth, I could care less about what happens to Papa and the other geezers in charge. Though the others seemed to have the opposite reaction.

"I think you mean Hiro and Akio will be the ones to lead us." I finally tuned into the conversation when I heard my name. "Hey Akio." My attention turned to Miku when she said my name. "I've been meaning to thank you for saving us the other day. Zorome was too busy being stupid to notice the Klaxosaur."

"Hey!"

I couldn't help but slightly chuckle at the two. "It's no big deal Miku, you're a squad mate, we're supposed to look out for each other." She seemed taken aback for a bit before she smiled. I tried my best to listen but I was having a hard time, I've seen how tough these battles are. Not to mention that they're all still pretty inexperienced, at least plantation 26 will be able to balance that out. Though I was brought out of my thought process when I felt a hand on my shoulder, When I looked up a saw Goro.

"I'm guessing this must be important if you just called me out like this." Somehow we managed to slip outside without the others noticing, they were too busy talking amongst each other. Goro was sitting o the steps and I was standing next to him. "Yeah, you said you've piolet with Zero Two more than three times right?" I was a bit confused why he asked that but answered anyway. "Yeah, I have. What does that have to do with anything?"

"..."

"Did something...did something happen to you during that time?" I looked at the sky and ran one of my hands through my hair. "Yeah, something happened. Why are you suddenly asking me about this though?" He explained that Hiro has been acting strange since he rode with Zero Two on our last mission.

I sighed when he was finished I looked at him. "I can't exactly tell you what's happening to him, however, if you notice anything else then come get me immediately. The whole three times and you die rumor...it's more complicated than you think."

He hummed and nodded, after that, we went back inside. I took a glance at Hiro before we went to the dining hall. As usual, Zero Two couldn't help but cause trouble.

"You can't sit there your a girl!"

"Yeah, and that's my chair so-"

"Go sit at the girl's table where you belong!"

Thankfully Ichigo was able to calm the chaos before it got out of hand, resulting in Zero Two sitting at the boy's table and Futoshi sitting at the girl's table. While the others prayed, me and Zero Two started eating. It's not like the prayers were anything special, it was mainly just stupid things about the old man in charge. We had both stopped going that along time ago.

While we were eating Zero Two was feeding Hiro, and at some point, Kokoro was feeding Futoshi. I looked at Emica and gave her a small smirk, of course, she turned away in embarrassment. Zorome had this priceless look on his face the entire time.

The rest of the time was uneventful, though we had a meet-up with Plantation 26. Though admittedly me and Emica arrived a bit late.

"I see, then were vastly more experience than you."

"I wouldn't count on that."

When we had arrived, the others were showing Plantation 26 our FRANXX. I could tell 090 was surprised.
