"Well, well, well, Octavia. We haven't spoken in a while, have we?"
I recognise that voice.
Eric.
"What the hell are you doing?!" I shout as loud as I possibly can through the bag, my voice muffled.
"Since when have we not spoken?" he asks me.
"Since my boyfriend kicked your ass," I reply.
That earns a fist to my head.
I'm knocked down to the floor, and he roughly pulls me back up to a standing position, beginning to lead — well, push — me somewhere.
"What are you going to do to me?" I ask, knowing I have no way out of the situation. Not now.
"I figured, since your boyfriend beat me up so bad, it's about time I repay the favour."
"And how are you going to repay the favour?" I reply, with a hint of fear in my voice.
Tears begin to find their way into my eyes.
I think of Tobias.
"I'm going to throw you into—"
Suddenly, Eric screams in pain, and his arms lose grip of me.
I hear another thud, and then there's silence.
The bag is removed from my head.
Tobias stands there before me, his arms extended.
I run into him, embracing him, crying my heart out into his shoulder.
He's crying too, tightly hugging me.
I look over his shoulder and see Eric on the ground.
"He's not dead, is he?" I ask with worry.
"No, he's just knocked out," Tobias replies.
"What was he going to do to me?"
Tobias looks to his left.
He looks at the Chasm.
"Oh my God," I say.
He was going to throw me into the Chasm.
"Just before he told me what was going to happen to me, I only thought of you. I didn't even think of myself. I didn't even think about what I would go through. I worried for you," I whisper.
He just stands there, gazing into my eyes.
Then he crashes into me against a wall, and we're kissing each other hard, both of us being affectionate.
That's the first time I realise just how much I love him.
