"Klaus?!"

Klaus heard his name in the blowing of the wind, it was a whisper from the lips of the man he admired the most. Watching from a far distance, his lips form a smile. He watches as Chase looks around, sniffing the air as if tracing a scent from somewhere.

He wanted to show himself to Chase but he has a matter to handle. The fact that the wolf pack ignored his message about a lycan coming to their territory, he needs to remind this race who he is.

The ruby stone is enough to confirm that he sent Chase but the wolf pack chooses to doubt. No one owned a ruby that is red as crimson blood, only the ventrue of a vampire race.

Klaus keeps staring at Chase from afar but sudden light footsteps pull him out from his reverie.

"Greetings, Sir Klaus " a voice was heard along with a deep breath. A scared and trembling pitch, a heart that pounded crazily.

Klaus faces the man with a stoic face, eyeing him from head to toe.

"You change a lot, Elder Sergio. " Klaus speak while walking towards the waiting chair that was provided for him by the pack members who know his presence.

He looks at the chair but never sits on it, eyeing the old woods that became shabby, careless by its growing years.

The elder keeps silent but on full alert knowing the temper of the Ventrue of the vampire kind. Heartless and merciless cold.

"Explain? " Klaus asked but more in a demanding tone.

The wind blows and the curtain swings, following the direction of the invisible element. But, at least they have still the curtain to decorate the window even though they are mountainers for a long decade to avoid their demise.

The pack is hidden for a long time, waiting for a lycan that is promised to rule them again without fear of their great enemies, the vampires!

Another gust of the wind,

The uneven beating of the heart,

The eyes glint with fear and emotions that are piled with many questions unasked.

"We thought that you will be the one to bring the lycan for us for that what you said before. " Elder Sergio blurted out.

Heaving a deep breath,

And releasing a disappointed sigh.

"And I did, " Klaus answered in a calm voice.

"But- " Elder Sergio stops himself to answer back when he meets the eyes of the Vampire King staring at him in a shade of crimson red.

Silence followed,

The wind blows again but this time it brings the scent of someone that calms the feeling of anger in Klaus's heart.

He inhales deeply, smiling like a maniac that made the wolves present in the room gulp in fear.

Klaus's weirdness means death to those who are guilty. His smile means war. His gaze means danger.

"Summon the head alpha for me, I won't stay long here for I have to avoid meeting the lycan again. It's not the time yet. " Klaus said that made the elder bow and leave in a quick move.

He stands near the window, enough to gaze at Chase that is now sitting alone under the big oak tree.

"I wonder what's on your mind, mate. " Klaus mumbles and closes his eyes. Inhaling deeply as the wind blows with the scent of Chase that lingers in every blow.
