Miraculous: The Next Guardian (book 3)

A terrible first date.

Adrien's pov

Hey there. My name is Adrien Agreste, a former famous model. I'm currently on my way to my girlfriend's house. Let's recap what happened in the last two years, shall we?

Two years ago I found a magical ring, called a miraculous. With the help of my kwami, plagg, it allows me to transform into a superhero. I and my partner, Ladybug defeated the supervillains Shadow moth threw at us. It's been one amazing journey. I fell in love with Ladybug, who turned out to be my classmate Marinette Dupain Cheng.

A year ago the miraculous team defeated Shadow moth, who was in fact, my father. But we haven't retrieved his miraculous yet, cause it was stolen. A week later I and Marinette officially started dating. And I remember our first date like it was yesterday. Something that day changed our lives forever.

Flashback.
No one's pov.

Ladybug and Chat were sitting on a rooftop in front of the Eiffel Tower. It was night, and the city lights were mesmerizing.

"So erm..." Chat begun. "I was thinking, how about I take you on a date tomorrow. We can have dinner at the new restaurant that just opened."

"It's really not necessary." Ladybug spoke.

"It is. The ball was yesterday, and we haven't gone to an official date yet."

"You sure about this? The restaurant seemed too... fancy." He grinned at her.

"Money should be your least of worries." He said proudly.

"Oh, sorry Mr billionaire." She said smiling.

"So what do you say?"

"I guess it wouldn't hurt to try their food with you." She said.

"Tomorrow 7 pm."

"Ok." She stood up and stretched. "See you tomorrow." She kissed his cheek and jumped off the building, swinging around the city. Chat smiled at thought of them on their first date.

Adrien got out of his car. He told his driver to wait a while in the car. It was 6:30. He knocked on the door while holding a flower bouquet. and Tom opened it.

Tom furrowed his brows and said, "You must be Adrien."

"Y-yes, sir. I'm h-here to t-take M-Marinette." Adrien replied nervously. Tom let him enter. Sabine then greeted him.

"Welcome, Adrien. It's lovely to see you." She said with a warm smile.

"Thanks, Ms Cheng." She noticed the flowers and smiled.

"Please, call me Sabine." She said. "I'll go tell Marinette you're here. Have a seat." Adrien sat on a chair. Tom sat a bit far away from him. The glares of Tom was killing the blonde boy. He kept avoiding eye contact with the man.

"Listen," Tom said. "Just because you're rich doesn't mean that you can hurt my daughter and get away with it."

"Wha-"

"I know who you are. As long as you keep my daughter safe and happy you're welcome in this family."

"Sir, please. I truly love Marinette. I wouldn't dare hurt her. And I promise you I'll take care of her and make her happy." Tom then stood up and walked towards the boy. Adrien was getting more nervous with each step. Tom then extended his arms and hugged the boy.

"Ah, that's what I love to hear. You have my blessings, son." Adrien let out a sigh of relief.

"Thank you, sir." He said while trying to breathe due to Tom suffocating him with his hug.
