Temporary Alliance

Adrien had arrived at school. He met up with Nino and Alya at the school gates. The two were surprised he came alone, without Marinette.

"Where's Marinette? You guys didn't have a fight did you?" Asked Alya.

"No, we didn't," Adrien said smiling. "She is sick today. She texted me this morning and told me she isn't going to school, and she wants me to take some notes for her."

"What happened? Was she in the rain yesterday?" Alya asked again.

Actually, that's about right. Yesterday, we went into each other's minds. And it started raining on us. Adrien thought to himself.

"I'm not sure. But either way, I'll be heading to her place after school. Wanna come with me?"

"Nah, we don't want to disturb her-" As she said that they heard the bell ringing. "Come on, we don't wanna be late to class."

The school day had ended. The trio were walking outside of the school together. After a small walk together, each of them had their separate way to go.

Marinette was in her bed. She wasn't just sick. She couldn't get out of bed this morning as her whole body ached. She had a fever, a headache and no appetite whatsoever.

When's Adrien gonna get here? Wait, am I starting to miss him this badly? It's normal right? She thought.

Meanwhile, Adrien had already entered her house. He had greeted Tom and was having a small conversation with Sabine.

"She hasn't eaten anything since this morning. Here." She handed him a tray with a bowl of chicken broth. "Make sure she finishes it." She said.

"I will." He then walked up the stairs and knocked on Marinette's bedroom hatch door. Then he opened it and entered. He then was greeted by Tikki.

"Hey Tikki. How is she?"

"She's been like this since this morning." Marinette opened her eyes and saw him.

"About time." She said playfully.

"Sorry, I ran into your parents a while ago." He then put down the tray. He opened his bag and grabbed a bunch of papers. "Here, I took you some notes and a copy of the homework."

"Thanks, Adrien."

"You're welcome. Now your mother told me you haven't eaten anything, so allow me." He took the bowl and went to sit next to her. She sat upright to eat. "Say ahh." She opened her mouth and he spooned some soup into it. She froze once the spoon entered her mouth.

This is the first time he does this. She thought while blushing. He then gently took the spoon out and noticed her face turned red.

"Marinette." She snapped out of her thoughts. "Are you ok? Your face is turning red."

"It is? Oh you know must be the....fever, yeah."

"You sure about that?"

Wait, could she be blushing because this is the first time I'm feeding her? Is that it? Still, she is so cute right now. He thought while blushing a little.

She finished her meal and went back to sleep. He decided to use the time and finish his homework. But something crossed her mind.

Why is it always me that is in need? This isn't the first time.

"Hey, Adrien." She said.

"Yes?"

"How can I make it up to you?"
