Gabriel was transported to prison the night of the day he had his trial. On that day, he was transported with some criminals. After entering and being searched, they were shown to the warden.
They stood in a line with their faces toward the warden. Gabriel had an officer behind him, just in case, he tried anything.
"Welcome to your new home." The warden said. He was as tall as Gabriel, with black hair and a black moustache.
"You'll spend most of your lives here," He continued while inspecting every one of them up close. "This place is no hell. Here, you'll be rehabilitated, so one day, you'll be back to where you came from." He stopped in front of Gabriel. He scanned him from head to toe.
"You don't look so scary in person." He said. Gabriel bit his tongue, as he wanted to curse him. The warden continued his walk in front of them.
"You'll learn that whatever you did that got you here, isn't worth it, not even a bit. You'll learn to regret what you did." He finished inspecting them and went back to the middle. "Who knows, if the rehabilitation committee see you become truly rehabilitated, they'll release you early before your sentence." He then told the officers beside him to escort each prisoner to their respective cells.
Gabriel entered his cell. The officer unchained him and closed the door after he left. Gabriel sat on his bed, thinking about what had happened in the past week. He battled the two heroes, he got his hands on the miraculous, and he made his wish which went wrong, he battled them again and lost. Then finally he had a trial for his crimes. He then thought about what the warden had said. Was it worth it?
He thought of Adrien being the superhero he fought. How could he not notice? He was suspicious of him when he akumatized the gorilla, but Adrien proved him wrong multiple times. The lights went out, indicating it was time to sleep.

He woke at the sound of the loud alarm. After washing his face, he went to the cafeteria to have breakfast. The whole place went silent after he entered. All of them stared at him. Some were scared, some were not. And there were who wanted to side with him.
The food wasn't bad. It was healthy and nutritious. He sat alone at a table and started eating. A while later a man came and sat across from him.
"So you're Hawkmoth huh?" Gabriel glared at him for a moment. "I heard you know who Ladybug and Chat Noir are. Is that true?" Gabriel swallowed the last of his food. He then looked at him.
"If I knew who they were, I wouldn't be here." With that, he picked up his tray and left. After breakfast, he went to the yard and spent most of the day there.

After a week or so, he had his first visit from his son since he was officially locked up. He had visited him before while waiting for the trail. After a few days, Nathalie also visited.
Two months had passed since he got to prison and nothing changed. Gabriel would wake up, go wash his face, eat breakfast, go to the yard, head back to the cafeteria to eat lunch which was smaller than other meals, go back to the yard or sometimes to the library, go back to the cafeteria to have dinner then finally go back to his cell to sleep. It was a while since anyone visited. But that was about to change when his son came one day.
Adrien took a seat and so did his father. Adrien was surprised by his father's condition. He was depressed, tired and he had a tiny beard.
"Hello, father."
