Ladybug landed at the top of the building in front of the Eiffel Tower. She found Chat there. He didn't notice her at first. It looked like he was in deep thought. She cleared her throat while taking a seat.

"Hey, are you ok?" His head popped up and he looked at her.

"Oh erm, I'm fine."

"Come on. We've known each other for about two years. I can tell when something is up." He looked down and his cat ears dropped. He sighed and smiled at her.

"I appreciate your concern. But I'm really fine."

"Ok." She looked at the city. "But, if you want to talk or.... let it out. I'll be there." She was really sweet. She knew something was up. But what was it? "So ready for patrol?" No response. "Chat?" She looked at him and again she found him spaced out. She tapped him on his shoulder. "You sure you're ok?" He looked at her, startled.

"I'm... I'm fine."

"Ready for patrol?"

"Yeah." She kissed his cheek and stood up and headed east. He stood up as well, then headed west.

A while later they met up again at the same spot. She landed and found him, again distracted and spaced out. She noticed he was a bit distant.

"Hey," This time he noticed her.

"Hey."

"How was your patrol?"

"Nothing out of the ordinary." She took a seat beside him. This wasn't their usual behaviour at their patrols. They're usually more energetic and passionate about each other. They would often talk a little before their patrol on the building. They'd joke about each other. Then they go to search for the new Hawkmoth. After that, they'd meet up again at the same place and they'd continue their conversation. There was always something they'd talk about. But this time, no one talked. It became more awkward for Ladybug. As for Chat, his head was busy with something else.

He stayed silent for most of their meeting. She began to have thoughts. Crazy ones to begin with. She thought he might want to break up with her, but didn't know how to tell her. She brushed that idea from her head. She thought he might have eyes on someone else and he was thinking about them. She then pushed that thought away. The last one made a little sense to her. She thought she might be causing this. She thought she wasn't being a good girlfriend for him. Lately, they didn't go on many dates like they used to. They would only meet at school or during patrols. They wouldn't text each other in the morning or before bed, although they used to do it.

She wasn't focused on him like she used to. Instead, in the past month, she would focus most of her efforts to figure out who stole the miraculous. And that wasn't the first time she saw him like that. Many times during the past month she'd see him like that. But it gets worse every time.

"I think I need to get some rest. See you tomorrow m'lady." He stood up and left, without even kissing her good night like they used to. Ladybug's heart was torn apart. What happened to them.

The next morning, Adrien woke up at the sound of his alarm. He woke up tired. His kwami flew up to him.

"I woke up earlier than you today. What's wrong with you?" Adrien sighed and turned to the other side.

"Nothing."

"Alright if you say so." A few minutes later Adrien got up from his bed and started to get ready for school. After he was finished he checked his phone. He received a message from Marinette.

Marinette.
Good morning kitty. How are you?

He smiled. He noticed they hadn't texted each other for a while. They'd race for it. The first one to text the other after they get ready gets a treat that day.
