Care - At the hospital lobby
before the supply room
"Lonely is not being alone, it's the feeling that no one cares."
Addison couldn't believe her eyes. Meredith's father had hit the blonde. Had actually slapped her. Instantly, rage began to consume her. She took a few steps towards where the blonde stood holding her cheek before turning towards where she and the others stood—Richard, Bailey, and Derek. Her ex husband tried to stop the intern but she shook him off and the moron let her.
Meredith sprinted down the hall and Addison didn't bother to speak to anyone else as she followed after her. Her heels echoed in the hall but Meredith didn't seem to have noticed her following or at least she ignored her calling after her. The blonde continued to sprint and didn't stop until they had entered a deserted hallway, making a beeline for the supply room.
Panting Addison reached the door and walked in, letting the door shut behind her. The blonde stood with her back towards her bracing herself on the shelves, her shoulders shaking.
"Please leave me alone." Meredith whimpered and the sound only made Addison step further in.
"No."
"Please, just go."
"I won't." Addison utterly refused, only stepping closer to her.
"I took your husband."
"I don't care."
"I cheated with him at prom while you waited at the dance floor." Meredith spat and winced at her own words but Addison didn't waver as she spat back.
"I. Don't. Care."
"Wh-why are you here—with me?"
"I'm here with you because it's where I want to be. Because it's where I need to be. Because you matter to me. Because I care."
Meredith blinked, letting her words sink in before a broken sob came out of her. Addison's breath hitched, the pain the blonde was feeling striking something deep within her. She didn't care if Meredith would fight against it when she took a few more steps and wrapped the crying intern in her arms.
"I'm here. I'll be here with you." She whispered, rubbing the blonde's back as she cried.
A few more seconds and Meredith sank into her, wrapping her arms around her just as tightly as she had. Relief watched over as she felt the blonde's arms around her. She was glad to be here — happy to be here with her. So that this once she wouldn't be alone. So that this time Meredith would know she had her here. Despite anything and everything. Meredith had her and would always have her.
Ooo I made 7. It's been a very long day but I made it. This one came from that quote. Enjoy and be ready for tomorrow, though I don't even know what I'll have hehe. ツ
