Worries are my nemesis
The gadflies in my brain,
They never take a coffee break,
They're driving me insane.
I worry here, I worry there
I worry constantly.
I worry about microbes
And poison in my tea.
Will it flood tomorrow?
Will Russia nuke Ukraine?
Will I lose all my marbles
And not find them again?
Will inflation strangle me
And put me on the street?
Will someone mug me in the hall?
Can I stay on my feet?
Swarming, swooning everywhere
Horrid horde I cannot see!
Dr. Trumpet's pills don't work!
Captain Courage, rescue me!
Fill my brain with laughter,
Jokes and silly rhymes,
Twiddle riddles, parrot puns,
Bring on sappy happy times!
Love and laughter, sure to cure
Confetti of the mind!
Load my train of thought with fun!
Klutz must be realigned!
