I walk on thin ice with molten toes
Within each day the ember grows
Sometimes I slip with safety hard at each
Along with each lesson this journey plans to teach
The current stays strong without a pace in its force
Sometimes I give in and let the flow take its course
But when I make it a fight and show what lesson I've gain
The water showers me down with its chain
I just push hard as it breaks my skin
Clenching my teeth with a circus grin
Brittle bones with an shadow of an Ox
Back to the surface with broken locks
The chains fall as I reignite
Back on the journey with no end in sight
