At school, Diana ran towards Myra's locker with a gleeful attitude. After her successful night, Diana had no reason to be down.
"Hello, lucky neighbor of mine!!!!"
Myra dropped her pencil pouch in surprise."Don’t scare me like that! And why am I lucky?"
Suddenly, Diana felt an invisible palm smack on her forehead. She was supposed to hide the fact that she was now posing as Myra on MySpace in front of Brian.
"Uh, lucky to be at school today” she stuttered as she lied, “Just wait and the jackpot will be yours. Hey Brian!"
Brian, from the other side of the hall, looked at them and smiled as he walked over with swag.
"Oh my god! He's walking to us! Why did you do that? How do I look? What should I do?" Myra freaked out.
"Girl, take my advice since everyone does. I did this because you need to come out of your shell. If he talks to you, just smile and only reply if he asks you a question. No stories. Guys don’t like girls that talk too much, especially those that they are just starting to know. Do not spazz out, keep your cool" Myra nodded quickly.
"Hey Di." He hugged Diana but had his eyes on Myra who was looking down.
"Hey Myra."
She looked up slowly with big eyes. "Um, hi Brian," she shyly replied.
The three started walking to 3rd period English. "What's up Brian?" Diana asked but Brian didn't answer her. He stood beside Myra.
“So, Myra, um, did you get a good rest last night?”
“Um, yeah I did. Uh, did you?” she stuttered.
“Hey, what’s going on?” Diana asked confused. Then she remembered the MySpace talk. She was on track. I wish this could go on, she said to herself. However, she spotted her superior strutting her way to class.
"Tiffany alert!"
The two pretended they didn’t know each other as they paced to their class. Brian went ahead and held the door for Myra. She thanked him with a shy smile and waited for Diana to pass through.
Tiffany ran to get inside when Brian slammed the door behind him without looking into her face. Everyone saw it, but Brian and Myra, and those who did gasped in shock including Diana.
"You got your first warning, Brian." Jorge, Brian's brother told.
"What for?”
“You just slammed the door on Tiffany and broke her nose. It should have been the exact opposite. You hold the door for Tiffany and slam it into that reject” he said as he pointed to Myra who tried to focus on getting ready for her lesson, not watching Brian walk over to his brother and pushed him over the desks.
"Shut the hell up, bastard! Myra's not a reject! She's just new to Yosemite! I..." Brian stopped himself as he realized that he broke a rule. He quietly sat down and buried his face into his hands in embarrassment as he kept on whispering, “Shit, shit, shit…” Lucky for him that Tiffany wasn’t there, or he would have been in bigger trouble.
During class break, no one talked to Brian except Diana. Myra remained astonished.
Back in Diana's place, she was worried that yesterday's talk wouldn’t be the same especially after that incident in English class. She decided to give it a shot.
