Chan-young and Joo-hee were staying with Mijo for the past few days, helping her with household chores and taking care of her. Their poor bestfriend had became weak after Dae-sik got into the accident.
There were days Mijo would lock herself in her room and starve herself. And today was one of those days. It had already been 3 weeks since the accident and Mijo hadn't left the house since.
So when Joo-hee arrived from the grocery to find Mijo's apartment empty, she started panicking.
She hurriedly called Chan-young.
"Chan-young-ah! Mijo isn't home."Chan-young could feel her heart start to beat rapidly. "What?! Have you tried calling her? Maybe she went out for some fresh air."
"What if she does something to herself. Chan-young I'm worried. She's all alone and she isn't in a great state. We should've not left her alone."
"Calm down, Joo-hee, my class ends in 20 minutes. I'll head there right away."
Joo-hee's breath hitched as she heard the main door open. Turning to check who it was, she breathed a sigh of relief. It was Mijo, looking all gloomy while she held her bag in one hand and a plastic in the other.
"Head home right away, Chan-young. She's here." Joo-hee says before ending the call.
"Mijo! Where did you go? We were worried sick. Next time can you atleast message us if you're leaving?" Joo-hee tells Mijo as they enter the living room.
Slumping herself onto the couch, Mijo replies, "I had to go for a check-up. I realized I haven't been taking care of myself for the past weeks and it might not be good for the baby."
"Well you really haven't and I'm not encouraging anything but I personally think it was because you were only coping with the pain you felt. I agree that you weren't taking good care of yourself and that won't be good for the bab—"
Joo-hee's eyes widened in shock as she realized. "You're pregnant?"
Mijo couldn't help but throw her head back and laugh. "Did it really take you almost 3 minutes to realize?"
"You are pregnant!" Joo-hee instantly hugs her. "How long have you known?" She asks, pulling out of their hug.
"Since the day of the accident." Mijo sheepishly says, her shoulders slumped down.
"Then why were you barely eating?" A worried expression appeared on Joo-hee's face.
Mijo sighed. "I'm not even sure why. Maybe because I loved Dae-sik so much that I did that to myself. I loved him with all I was, I didn't leave anything for me. Then it hit me that I still had this little angel growing in me." Her hand slid down to her lower abdomen. "I realized I should get up and stay strong, not just for me but for this little angel in me."
Tears pooled in Joo-hee's eyes."Me and Chan-young are becoming aunts!" She cheered. "This deserves a celebration. My treat. What do you want? Let's wait for Chan-young and we'll go out for dinner?"
"Sure, I'm really craving Chinese food today. Why don't we try the newly opened Chinese restaurant by your place tonight?"

"Why did I even bother rushing to get here." Dae-sik complained as Jin-woo handed him a can of beer.
Mrs. Hyun had just left after informing the two about the appointment she had set for the two to get measured for their custom suits for the wedding they had finally set a date on. The wedding would supposedly be held in 5 months time and they were to announce it to the media a week before the wedding day.
