Make Me Remember (Mijo X Dae-sik)

Prologue

It's 3 P. M. in the afternoon and Hyun Dae-sik is on his way home from Daegu while on the phone with his girlfriend, Cha Mijo. "Are you still at the clinic love?" He asked.

She smiled at her boyfriend's sentence, "I technically still am but I'm heading to the parking lot. What about you? Are you almost home?"

"I'm about to enter Seoul in a while. If traffic isn't that bad I'll be home in an hour."

"Well what are we going to do today?" She asked, "It's our 3rd anniversary and we aren't doing anything?"

He chuckled at his girlfriend's antics.

"I'll cook us some steak when I arrive. I promise."

"You promise?"

"Yes, I do." He replied as he took a glance at the blue Tiffany & Co. bag on the front seat of his car.

"I'm sorry love, but I have to go now." Mijo replied. "I love you."

"I love you more, see you later." He dropped the call, now talking to himself, "I hope she says yes."

Mijo had just arrived at their apartment, she was hoping to see him inside, cooking steak for their dinner just as he promised. She had noticed she was always more tired than usual the past weeks. Though neither of them put it into thought as she was always busy at the clinic.

She changed into more comfortable clothes and then proceeded to plop herself onto the sofa, turning the TV on.

As she was browsing thru the channels, one channel grabbed her attention. The channel was reporting a car crash just near the outskirts of Seoul that had happened just a few minutes ago. Taking a closer look at the car showed on the broadcast, Mijo's heart dropped, tears forming in her eyes as she realized it was Dae-sik's car. "No, no, no. Tell me this isn't true." She grabbed her phone trying to call him, "Please answer my call Dae-sik, please pick up."

And someone did answer the phone, just that it wasn't Dae-sik.
