"Sir, you asked to be notified of any strange happenings with SHIELD." JARVIS said one afternoon.

"Yeah Jay. What is it this time?" Tony Stark asks as he walks into the room. Since everything that had happened with the Mandarin and New York, he'd been anxious, nightmares plagued him and almost losing Pepper really made him aware of just how precious life was. And so he had rebuilt and repurposed the tower in New York, taking extra precautions to turn it into a fortress.

"SHIELD has fallen. It appears that HYDRA wasn't as gone as everyone thought. There was a data leak. SHIELD and HYDRA secrets have flooded the internet. It's trending."

"Anything of any importance Jay?" The AI doesn't respond. "Jay?" The AI was still wouldn't respond. "Jay, you're starting to scare me."

"My apologies sir. It appears Director Fury wasn't completely forthcoming with the information SHIELD had on you. Or rather, your family."

"What does that mean?" Instead of answering though, JARVIS pulled the leaked files. "A kid?!" Tony yells, causing some passing workers to jump. He waves them off. "Jay, what all can you find on her?"

A few moments pass before JARVIS responds further. "There isn't much. Everything has been redacted by Nicholas Fury."

Tony sighs before his phone starts blaring AC/DC. "What is it Happy? Now really isn't a good time."

"There's someone hear to see you boss. Is it ok if I send them up?"

"I guess." Tony says before the line goes dead. "JARVIS, who's here?"

"Director Fury sir."

"I should have known those reports didn't know shit."

"Stark! Open up!" Fury yells from the other side of the door. The doors open by themselves before Fury walks in, but he's not alone.

"Who's this?"

"Stark, this is Myrabella. Myra, this is Tony Stark, your father."

"Father?" She asks snarkily.

"Oh yeah. You got that Stark attitude down perfectly." Fury laughs. "I'm not even supposed to be alive to be here so I'm gonna leave."

"Wait, you're leaving me here?" She asks, terrified of being in an unfamiliar place, with total strangers, even if they were claiming he was her father.

"You'll be safe here. Stark won't let anything happen to you." He says before taking his leave.

"So..." Tony says, unsure of how to proceed.

"So." Myra says shortly.

"Why wasn't I told about you?"

"I have no idea. I've been with SHIELD since I was 9."

This causes Tony to double take. "What do you mean you were 9?"

She looked at him like he was stupid. "I thought they said you were supposed to be a genius. My mother, if you could call her that, dropped me off with Fury when I was 9."

"And I'm just finding out about you now? What the actual hell?"

"Look I don't know why you weren't told. Because she wanted Fury to give me to you. I always just assumed you were doing bigger and better things." She doesn't meet his eyes.

What the hell Nick, he couldn't help but think as he watched this young girl nervously shift from one leg to another. "Let's get you set up in a room for the night. In the morning we can talk more." He says before motioning her to follow him. This just got complicated.
