*Steve's POV*
I'm at the Tower, although it's not destroyed, which was not how we left it. I see Tony looking out the window and I walk up to him. "It shouldn't be like this." He tells me. I'm confused so I don't respond right away. "You told me you could protect her. You promised me you would protect her. I trusted you with my daughter." Tony says and I look down in horror at the open casket that now lay before me, Myra laying inside cold and still. This wasn't happening. This couldn't be real. "She told you she loved you. She sacrificed herself for you. Why are you so hung up on the past you let her die?" Tony asks and the scene changes and she's being lowered into the ground.
"There wasn't anything I could do." I say helplessly.
"There never is, Captain Rogers." Tony says, looking at me coldly. The scene fades to black and I'm back on the ship.
*Myra's POV*
I blink in the sunlight as Steve leads me out of the ship, back to our jet. I jump about a foot in the air when I hear the Hulk scream from the center of the city. "Tony's got it. Let's get you inside." Steve says but I can tell he's still far away.
"Hey. Whatever you saw, it wasn't real. It was meant to scare you." I say, my voice still shaky. He nods, but doesn't elaborate further. We're joined a little while later by Dad and a now human Bruce. Everyone is looking worse for wear. I was in a corner, thinking back to what I had seen, what the Maximoff girl had shown me. It felt so real. I'm vaguely aware of someone sitting down next to me. It was Dad, if the expensive aftershave was any type of giveaway.
"You ok kid?" he asks.
I shrug my shoulders. "I'm not sure. It felt too real. I didn't like it, what it showed me."
"I don't think any of us have like what Glinda has shown us."
"When did she get you?"
"In Sokovia..."
"When you came back from getting the scepter?... Of course that's what it was. You know, after everything we went through this past year, I would've thought you could've told me about it."
"It's not a parents' job to unload on their kids. Or at least that's what the parenting books Pepper forced me to read say." We both laugh slightly at that. "So... What did you see?"
I remain quiet, looking to Steve who was lost in his own horrors. "Nothing. Something that's ridiculous..." I trail off before turning my head back to look at him. "I'm going to go check on Steve." I say before getting up and walking over to the other side of the ship.
I toss a penny on the floor in front of him, making sure it lands heads up. "Penny for your thoughts." I say lamely but it does get him to crack a small smile.
The sun is just coming up and lighting the sky a brilliant golden color when Clint brings the jet into a landing in the middle of a field, opening the hatch once it's down. Before us is a cute farmhouse, painted white with a green roof and shutters. "What is this place?" Thor asks.
"Safe house." Dad replies from his spot in front of me. Steve has an arm around me, guiding me up the stairs.
"Let's hope." Clint says before opening the door.
