Dirty Secrets Part 2

Adrien's POV:

It's a fact that Ires and I have known each other for a short time but she  means a lot to me and she changed me a lot to the best of course

My dad asked for a family meeting but I didn't go
When she called me, I felt that she's upset about something, I didn't sleep well that night thinking of her and what bothering her

I went to Emma's house to pick Ires up
I took her to the garden where my mother used to take me and my brother
As she didn't said anything, I decided to break the silence:
"- I am not going to ask if you're OK or not, it's obvious you are not
- a lot happened the past couple of days
- now I am worried, tell me what happened"

She told me everything about her conversation with my dad, and how she asked for Luca's help, the photo in her dad's office, Luca sleeping in her bedroom, the fight with her mother

I looked at her and said:
"- woow, all this happened and I am the last one to know
- I am sorry Adrien, I didn't mean it like this but...
- no let me talk, i am mad because you hide things from me, you was reckless and talked to my dangerous father, you asked for my untrustworthy brother's help not to mention him sleeping in your own bed but I am not going to make things worse for you, I believe that you did what you thought is was right
- Thanks for your understanding Adrien
- Ires, I am always here for you, We'll find out together what our parents are hiding, also, I think it's time for me to descover my father's past
- I want ice-cream
- hahaha, let's buy you some"

We bought some ice-cream, we sat there talking and laughing
But fun disappeared with my father's call.
He told me to come home and now, I heared Luca screaming at my dad which is doesn't seem like him, He is usually cold-blooded, I think my dad did something huge this time

I drove Ires to Emma's house and said goodbye to her then headed home wondering what will be my surprise

Luca was still screaming at my father
The strange thing is that my dad did not say anything, he was sitting in silence

I said:
- hey, what's going on??

Luca: it's about your girlfriend, It turns out that he's known her family for a long time, but he was Hiding it and now he refuses to talk about it

Adrien: yes, I know, she told me everything

Dave: sit down, both of you and I will tell you everything"

As we sat down, my father said:
- her father used to work for me, he was the family lawyer not just that David was my friend, I trusted him, he told me everything about his life, that he was married and he had a child but he did not tell where were they living, he didn't want me to find out and I respected that. And once David defended us in a case where we were going to lose all our property and money, But he was one of the best lawyers and we won the case thanks to him. The other side was spiteful and sent him many threats.

Adrien: so, Ires's father was the lawyer of the mafia and he saved you from falling apart

Luca: yes that is exactly what he said, you don't have to repeat it. But what was even more confusing is that my father had a friend, a friend who was not forced to be his friend, hahahaha, that's hilarious

Adrien: not funny Luca, not funny at all

Dave: are you going to let me finish??

Luca: yup
Adrien: yes, sorry

Dave: I offered him to come with his family and live with me to be able to provide the necessary protection, but he refused
After that, I got busy making up for what we lost, and I forgot about my friend's safety,  I received the news of his death that he had been murdered
I blamed myself for that, I had to move on for you

Luca: And his wife knew all this,
didn't she??

Dave: Celeste!?? yes, after the funeral i though she took her child and left, but she didn't, now, all we need to do is to protect his daughter, if any of that mafia know that David's child is alive, they won't hesitate killing her, she will be in big danger, the least we can do is to make sure she's safe, I apologized for kidnapping her when I talked to her

Adrien: wait, you did what??
Luca: oh, he didn't tell you?? He kidnapped her before we go to Paris and I saved her

Adrien: we will talk about that later, now, tell us, how killed him??

Dave: the same gang that killed your mom

Adrien: how did you know??
Dave: I just know

Luca: wait if he was killed by the same gang that killed my mother, then you know who killed her because it is the same one who lost the case, right??

Dave: yes, exactly
Luca: and you didn't think of telling us that??

Adrien: Why didn't you say anything this long, why did you hide this and why didn't you do anything?

Dave: I was just protecting you, that gang is powerful and dangerous, but I promise, I will do everything to avenge your mother and my friend

Luca: that's insane, all this time, you knew my mother's killer and you didn't say anything, You don't know how many nights I spent thinking about her killer and how much I was tormented because I didn't know who he was, you know what dad screw you, oh God, I hate you so much, What makes you think you are more innocent than her killer?

Dave: Luca, get out of my house, now
Adrien: father!!!?
Luca: hahah, you think I will stay in this house?? The best decision I've ever made in my life is to leave this fucking house and live alone, away from you, your dirts and shits"

Luca slammed the door and left, I think he had a point, actually, he was right, But I do not have the audacity to tell my father about my opinion

That's the difference between me and my brother, audacity and courage, I always liked that about him
I am strong too but when it comes to my father, I don't say too much

Now that I know what happened, I need to tell Ires about everything, but how??
