"Relax, he's fine he just wandered off," Mike reassured while grabbing my shoulders.

"Yeah I know I'm not worried." I lied.

"You guys stay here and I'll check for him outside." Mike directed. Dustin and Lucas went back to Dig dug and were fine. I was a little worried.

"Y/N!" Mike's voice makes me turn around and I saw Will with Mike's arm wrapped around him.

"God Will Byers we gotta get you a bell or like a leash," I tease. He tries to laugh but it came off as so fake. I'll ask him about it later. 

"Sorry I just needed some fresh air." 

"Ok, cool." The boys go back to the games but I lean down in whisper in Will's ear, "Do you wanna talk about it later?" He nodded silently. I didn't say anything else, not with the others there.

"Thank you, Ms. Byers. For picking me up but Will and I had a question. Could I stay over tonight? I can bike to my house really quick and get an extra pair of clothes."

"I don't know honey, It's a school night. How would your mom feel if you're not home for supper?" 

"She's not coming home tonight...that's actually why I asked. I don't wanna be alone tonight." I put on a sad face.  I wasn't totally lying to Ms. Byers, my mom wasn't gonna be home tonight the only fib I told her was I didn't want to be alone, I really didn't mind but Will needed to talk tonight.

"Oh," She paused and looked back at me sadly before shaking her head, "Of course, you can stay, just call your mother's work and let her know." I nodded my head. I looked over at Will and we shared a smile.

When we got there. I did as Joyce asked, I called my mom and told her where I was staying. Joyce wouldn't let me bike home thought. She insisted I borrow Will's pajamas and some of his clothes for school tomorrow. I didn't decline. I like Will's flannels. They would look great on me. After eating dinner with Jonathan and Bob,  Will and I were excused and raced to his room. 

"So?" I asked noisily after closing the door so we can have some privacy. "Are we gonna talk about you wandering off or something else?" 

"Something else." He said nervously. He fiddled with his hands. "I have a question to ask you." 

"Ok..." I said. His nervous behavior was making me nervous. "Shoot."

"Tell me some more about the Eleven girl?" He asked. I was a little bit shocked. No one really talked about her around me. They were scared of even saying her name around me. I don't know why. But this made me really happy. I had been dying to tell Will all about her, but one of the boys told him not to ask me. 

"Oh my god, where to start." I jumped on his bed and went into my gossip position, which is me laying on my stomach with my feet in the air. "She was amazing. She was one of the prettiest girls I had ever seen. She had this buzzed head because these bad guys cut it off. Oh my god then to get her to help find you with her powers, we dressed her up in some of Nancy's old clothes because at the time I didn't have any dresses, which is funny because now Nancy gives all her old clothes to me and I love wearing all the dresses and skirts I can find but that's beside the point-" I was talking so fast and I couldn't help it. I was excited. 

"Y/N, slow down. I can't hear you. I also guess I wasn't specific enough. Tell me what you liked about her." Will told me.

"Oh, I liked that she was brave. I liked how caring she was for us. I wasn't there for this part but she saved Mike from falling off a cliff. She helped us find you. When she learned about our friendship and she took it very seriously. She was beautiful and kind, She listened to me too. Like actually listened to what I had to say. She was...wow." I let out a dreamy sigh. I thought about the time I did her makeup and she liked the chapstick off her lips and I smiled. I thought about the time we jumped around and 'danced' together. And then I thought about the time I kissed her and she smiled. I smiled sadly  Will, "I miss her a lot." 

"So you liked her a lot?" He asked curiously. I nodded. "As a friend?" She looked down at his hands sadly.

"Yes," as I responded Will looked down sadly. "And also No." He looked back up confused. "I liked her as a friend and more. I-" I struggled to say to Will scared of how he would react, but this was my best friend. I was going to tell him, "I kissed her..." He looked at me shocked.

"When?" 

"The night that they found you, I kissed her. And I liked it, and from her reaction, I think she liked it too." I smiled shyly.

'But she's a girl." 

"And I didn't care... I really liked her." I explained

"Y/N?" Will asked scared.

"Hmm?"

"I think I'm like you." He didn't say any more than that. He just started to cry. So I hugged him and let him cry.

-End of chapter 2. A shorter chapter than normal but I really wanted a heartfelt scene between Y/N and Will with WIll coming out to Y/N. I feel like he would trust her with his because she is also fruity.
