Steve was already waking up but I didn't give a flying fuck. I was too busy breathing at the cold window and drawing a happy face, wiping it then repeating the process. It helped with the nerves of Max driving and the smiley faces helped me forget I was about to die any minute.

Steve slowly started to freak out and so did everybody in the car In an attempt to calm him down. I simply bowed my head and closed my eyes.

"Hey God, it's me. You haven't met me yet but please don't let me die today. I kinda wanna live long enough to see the girl that I like again. I really also wanna live to my next birthday and eat cake again. I've taken for granted so many things. I wanna ride my bike again, I wanna punch Mike just once more." I heard a faint 'Hey!' coming from the boy I had just spoken about but I ignored him as Max started yelling.

"Everybody, Shut UP IM TRYING TO FOCUS!" Max yelled before making a sharp turn. I wrapped my arms around Dustin.

"DUSTIN IM SORRY FOR BEING MEAN TO YOU ALL THESE YEARS AND ACCIDENTLY RIPPING YOUR AMAZING FANTASY 15 COMIC LAST YEAR AND BLAMING IT ON YOUR CAT!" I cried into Dustin as he cried too before passing.

"THAT WAS YOU?"

Suddenly the car came to a quick stop and I opened the doors and rolled out. I fell onto the grass and started to fake cry, "I lived! God is a good man I cannot believe I survived. I miss my mom!" Lucas rolled his eyes as he helped me up and we walked to the entrance of Hopper's underground tunnel hole.

Max and Mike gathered supplies from the Trunk as Steve rolled out but we ignored him as we prepared everything while Dustin calmed Steve down.

putting on my fuzzy purple gloves and Mike's old snorkel I covered my face with a blue bandanna and followed Lucas down to hell

"Okay guys flashlights on." Mike instructed just as Steve jumped down into the tunnels.

"Lucas," I whispered but he didn't hear, "Lucas, psst," I tried getting his attention as the rest of the party starred at Mikes homemade map.

"What?" Lucas turned around shining the light in my face. i groan as I grab his hand and turn the flashlight down so I can see the switch to mine. I flash my light on before shining it in Lucas face.

"Thanks cutie." I tease as he rolls his eyes

"Oh anything for you babe." He says in a jock voice that make us crack up.

"Guys stop. We're going this way." Max snapped at us while grabbing Lucas's arm and dragging him away. I stood there dumbfounded before chasing after them.

"I think we found your hub." Steve said as he scanned his flashlight around the open area of the tunnels unveiling new tunnels.

"Drench it." Mike glared as he spoke.

"That was so badass." I comment giving Mike a pat on the back before grabbing a can of gasoline and dumping it on the walls and floors of the tunnels.

"Okay guys get back," Mike said elbowing Steve.

"Little shits you heard the guy get back and away." Steve said ushering us back to the tunnel we came from as we crouched behind the entrance of the tunnel. me in the back hovering over everyone with Mike

Dustin handed Steve the lighter, "Light her up."

Steve took the lighter and flicked it on and threw it quickly igniting flames as the 'roots' started to make horrid sounds and move erratically.

"LETS GO GUYS" Mike yelled pulling me back and grabbing my hand while running. Everyone else followed with Steve in the back.

"oh my god. Oh my god, Oh um god." Dustin cried as he practically was skipping his way through the tunnels.

"COME ON DUSTIN LETS GO." I yelled still holding on to Mike's hand. While making sure Dustin got ahead Mike and I fell behind.

"This way!!" Steve yelled as everyone followed but Mike fell in front of me causing me to trip and fall over him.

I attempted to get up but something had wrapped around my leg causing me to fall again and when I fell it o lay wrapped tighter. I looked down and saw Mike struggling as well.

"HELP. HELP US." I yelled as Mike yelled for help as well. We yelled for a solid minute before Steve and Dustin came back to help us.

Steve hit the vines with his bat until they let go of us as Mike and I scrambled over each other to get up and when we did I wish we would've just stayed at home.

Getting up to leave there stood a demo dog in the way of our only escape and freedom. It opened its face and growled at us. Steve held up his bat as I turned to Mike and buried my face in his shoulder.

"Dart!" Dustin firmly said the to beast making me turn my head up to watch the interaction play out. I was ready but Dustin took a step forward and everyone started yelling at him.

"Dustin get back"

"Trust me please." He put his hand up and shushed us all.

He stepped closer to the monster greeting it like and old friend. I felt so sorry for him I knew that he loved that thing from the very beginning and I felt horrible knowing that his best friend was a beast. I made a mental not to get Dustin a real dog one day.

"You hungry?" Dustin reached in his back pocket and pulled out a candy bar. "I've got our favorite, see? Nougat!" and to my surprise the demo dog stepped forward, "look at that. here you go"

As he fed the beast he motioned us to go and we all stepped past the demo dog. I went first pushing past my friends. Man i've got a girl I need to see again before I die.

We raced out the tunnels before it started to shake. "They are coming." Mike yelled as we climbed up the rope. Max and Lucas first, Mike, Me but Dustin and Steve got left down. But the dogs didn't attack them instead they ran right past them.

"Eleven." I said realizing they were going to her.

"Come on guys." I yelled as Mike and Steve climbed up . I jumped to run to the car but the headlights glowed intensely blinding all of us before just shutting off completely.
