Moonknight and child

(m/r) POV

As I run away from whoever was chasing me I laugh having fun. It reminded me of playing tag, except if I get caught I go to jail. You see I am a amazing person the thing is I have to eat. But I don't have money and I can't get a job because I'm not old enough I guess. My parents are gone I guess, my only sibling that actually loved me is missing.

She's been missing for a few years and she wouldn't leave me. Anyways I jump and run on building tops as someone chases me. But then I stop seeing I'm at a dead end and turn around. It was a man who was wearing a cape, wraps around his whole body, and it was white.

Man I'm in so much trouble, I hope I die in a cool way. They walk up closer to me and then stop, sighing. "Could you like, kill me in a cool way at least. If not I have something important to do."

"Your just a kid? What are you doing?" He stands with his arms crossed he probably had a grumpy face under the mask. Then out of nowhere his outfit changes, his stance changes. "Fine I guess I have to unleash my powers so you listen to me."

I shout and then throw a can from the floor at him. Then I start running as fast as I can. "Finally, I think I've lost him." "Hey, kid you should be nicer.

This is a white suit, you could've made it dirty." His voice changed from last time, it was English now. "Your right sorry I hate when I mess up my nonexistent white shirts. Sorry but I need to leave now."

But he grabs my hand and shakes his head. "Why did you steal kid, I promise I won't give you to the police." He puts a hand on his heart as he says this. This guy was adorable the other guy was okay. "I don't have money so I don't have food.

Without parents or siblings life is hard, so I can't buy anything." "Why don't I take you somewhere and I can help you?" I shake my head and turn around looking at a wall. "How about this, you leave me alone and I don't steal from you?"

I could tell he wasn't really happy about it. "I also won't steal expensive things, just stuff people don't want." He sighs looking at me and then looks around. "Do you not remember me, my other friend doesn't remember you.

But do you remember me?" After a little bit of thinking I start to shake my head. He sighs sadly and then walks away sadly. At least he let me go, I hope I didn't steal anything from him.

Today I have to go to that bakery to get some bread to eat. When I get there I steal some bread and run away. But then I run into someone and I say sorry. Then I remember something from when I was younger.

Shit he was right, I do remember him now. He saved me from someone, they were going to shoot me. But he turned into Moonknight and made them shoot him. I turn around and eat the bread quickly running on buildings.

As I look for him I see a white flash run on the floor. "Shit" I yell he was in trouble, I run to him and punch one of the guys. He was getting shot and stabbed, it was up to me to help him. But then he stands up and we fight, side by side.

Like in those movies except it was sorta scary and fun. Moonknight tied them up and we run onto a building hearing police sirens. We sit on the building together looking down. "We man my bread I was gonna eat it."

I sigh but then Moonknight grabs me and drags me. "Um where are you taking me?" The outfit changed so did everything else. "What's your name and the other guy's?"

He looks at me then sighs a little annoyed. "Your very annoying, you know that right?" "It's my specialty, that's why I usually get thrown out." I smile and then he looks at the floor then back at me.

"My name is Moonknight the other guy is Mr. Knight." "Do I get a costume and a cool name too?" "No you don't, what is your name anyways?" I stop walking and then he stops as well, I think for a minute.

"My name is (m/r) but for my hero name I can be called Zappy." He sighs again and I laugh, he is way too easy to annoy. "Why would you be called Zappy?" "Well I can zap people and have kinetic energy stored and I can use it.

Maybe I should be called Bom instead then. When I let the kinetic energy out it can make things move or explode. Cool right?" He sighs and then we stop at a apartment. "This is my house you can stay over whenever you want.

Just don't break anything when your here." "Your really okay with a 14 year old to know you identity and where you live? Wow your very trusting, thank you!" I laugh a little and sit on the couch tired from everything.

    "What does Mr. Knight do here most of the time? It looks like Mr. Knight lives here with how everything is." He sighs and then I turn my head seeing the suit change. "Well I'm not sure what a kid can do here.

    I have a lot of puzzles and games I should probably get groceries actually." The mask comes off and I nod my head smiling. "Want me to come with?" "Sure if you want you can get some snacks for you mkay?" "Ok!"

    We stand up and I take my jacket off. Then we are off to the store and I help buy things. When we finish we come back and I fall asleep after helping. I wake up and it was warm not cold anymore, Mr. Knight smiles at me and gives me pancakes, I am home.
