Elizabeth POV

This game is really really getting on my nerves. They are leading by one point but the opponent is really good. After the first half they got in the attack and the defense is trying everything to stop it. Y/N made another phenomenal safe and the opponents have a corner. After my talk with Y/N I felt really bad. She just wants to prove herself to her grandma and I was standing between that. Of course this isn't safe but I can't deny her grandma's last wish. Still I have this aching feeling inside of me that something terrible is about to happen. The attacker of the other team keeps pushing Y/N and I can just see her getting angry. I don't know this girl but she makes me feel something that no other person made me feel. I knew that she saved my drunk ass yesterday and that she slept on the floor while she had a broken hand but Aubrey told me before the game that her star player was late because she had to carry some girl home and her bike was still at the club. So not only did she save me and let me sleep in her bed, she also carried me for God know how long just to make sure I was safe. And to top it al, she ran that same distance today just because I was so drunk that I couldn't get on her bike. Nobody has ever treated me like this and it makes me feel some things. I also feel so guilt for her hand, I want to help her just the same as she helped me.

I am pulled out of my thoughts by the corner that is kicked. I see Y/N flying in the air and catching the ball. She falls to the floor and after that I hear her cry out in pain. I shoot out of my seat and try to look at what is happening. It looks like the attacker from the other team is stepping on her hand. This is bad, very bad. I knew that something bad was going to happen. I need to do something, she needs help. I see the ref pulling out a red card and the medics of our team running on the field. Everything is broadcasting on a big screen and I see her crying and holding her hand. She takes her glove off and all I can see is blood. Her whole hand is bleeding and black as fuck. Her teammates stand there in shock and can't even look at her. I can see from here that her knuckle is dislocated, it is worse than before and I didn't think it could. She sits up and inspects her hand. I could hear her yell fuck from across the field.

The medics kneel next to her and start to inspect her hand. She tells them something but I can't quit make up what it is. She looks really pissed and yells at her teammate. Her teammate turns around because she can't look at the scene in front of her. I run up to Aubrey because I need to know what is happening. "Aubrey what is happening?" Aubrey turns around and I can see the horror in her eyes. I know that Aubrey knew Y/N in her teenager years and this must be hard to watch. "I don't know, she needs to come off the field and go to the doctor." I need to tell her that her hand was injured before. I feel so sorry for her but this needs to happen. "I need to tell you something, Y/N her hand was injured before the game. I was the girl that she helped last night and she needed to punch a guy so that he would back off, then this morning I looked at her hand and I am pretty sure that it was broken. This is just a tip of the iceberg, her hand was already broken before the game." Aubrey is fucking pissed and I can't blame her. "You knew about this! Why didn't you tell me? I would have never let her play if I knew that she was injured!" I have never heard Aubrey yell that loud. She has her hands in her hair and is pacing around. "I wanted to tell you but then Y/N begged me to not tell you. She didn't want to disappoint her team on the first try. She never told me that she was a goalkeeper because then I would have never let her go in the first place." Aubrey turned back and looked so freaking angry. "I am not done with you! Now go sit back down and don't cause anymore trouble!"

She is completely right. I should have never let her play in the first place, but she begged me to let her because of her grandma. I can't just ruin her dream. I walked back to the bench and looked at the big screen. It was still showing everything that was happening. The medics were holding Y/N's hand and before I could fully see what they were doing I heard her let out the most heartbreaking scream I have ever heard. And then it was quit, she fell in the arms of the medics and passed out.
