I grinned widely and grabbed the shirt from Eddie, "fuck YES." Truthfully, I know nothing about D&D; I just figured it would be a way to hang out with Eddie more. I'm sure he wouldn't mind teaching me things, if anything, I know Mike and his party would help out.

Eddie wrapped his arm around my shoulder as I stepped out of the van, "you won't regret this Aspen. It's going to be super chaotic, but I promise to go easy on you." I couldn't focus on his words, the smell of forest and fresh rain hit my nose. What I would do to be wrapped in his arms for the rest of my life.

"Aspen?" Eddie caught my attention. I felt my face heat up, "yeah?" I knew he realized I wasn't listening but he didn't seem upset. "Did you hear what I asked?" Eddie questioned. I felt guilt rise in my stomach, "no, I'm sorry. I'm feeling a little out of it, can you ask again?"

Eddie didn't seem phased, "what race and class do you want to be?" He must've noticed the confused on my face so he continued, "in D&D?" I racked my brain, trying to remember anything about D&D.

"Can I be completely honest with you?" I looked towards Eddie, he nodded in response. "I know nothing about D&D. I just thought it would be a fun thing to play with you." I admitted.

He stopped in his tracks, stopping me as well. "Aspen. Did I hear you correctly?" I felt like a deer in the headlights. I awkwardly laughed, but didn't respond. Eddie walked in front of me and grabbed my shoulders. "Please tell me you're joking." He held a straight face.

"I'm not, but would it be a problem?" I felt nervous. Maybe I was wrong and he wouldn't want to teach me. Eddie stared at me for what felt like forever, "no, no, this will work." He nodded his head in thought.

I let out a breath I didn't realize I was holding in. We continued our walk into the school, Eddie didn't put his arm back around me. A part of me was thankful, the rest felt a little disappointed.

I saw Steve's hair before I saw the rest of him. I grinned to myself and decided to do what I did best— mess up his "beautiful" hair.

A groan escaped Steve's lips as I fluffed up his hair. He quickly started trying to fix it as I laughed at his facial expression.

"So, have you spoken to Nancy?" I questioned my twin. I know after what happened, he probably hadn't. I just wanted the attention to be off of me for now.

He exhaled loudly, "no, not that it's any of your business." I was taken back by his response. Although true, he's never kept anything from me. I nodded my head, rather than responding. He sighed again, "I'll let you know when I do. Please don't try to talk to her."

I smiled up at him, "don't worry. I don't think she likes me very much anyways." Steve furrowed his brows and looked at me questionably. I shrugged it off and changed the subject, "let's not miss any classes today."

"Aspen!" I heard a voice yell as I walked out of the school. I looked to where the voice was coming from and saw Dustin Henderson running to catch up with me. I stopped walking and waited for the boy to catch up.

"What can I do for you?" I asked the boy with a smile. I always liked Dustin, he was sarcastic and didn't really take anyone's shit. Of all of the party members, he seemed to have the best head on his shoulders.

"Eddie told me you didn't know anything about D&D so I'm going to give you a crash course before we play tonight." Dustin said, slightly out of breath. How far did he run to catch up? I hummed in response.

"Well, where do you want to go?" I asked, we'd have to catch up to Steve if we wanted a ride anywhere. Dustin seemed to think of a response, "let's go to the chem room."

"— and that's what you basically start off with in the game." Dustin finished. I could barely keep up with what he was saying, even with taking notes. "Don't worry, it's a game that you can learn as you go." He said after seeing my confused face. I smiled greatly. "Alright, let's make you a character."

"I think I wanna be a Tiefling sorceress." I stated confidently. Dustin grinned at my choice, "it's pronounced 'teef-ling' but that's a good race. What proficiencies do you want?" Dustin pushed the D&D book he had in front of him towards me.

I looked carefully, "persuasion and arcana?" He nodded his head, "alright. As sorceress you come from the Draconic Bloodline. What ancestry do you want?"

I looked at the line up, the black dragon had acid damage type so I chose that one. We went over what the standard array was for my abilities. I chose my background, which was the Haunted One, and gave details about my character. Once Dustin and I finished with my character, he seemed proud of my choices.

"One last thing, you'll need a name," Dustin looked up from the sheet in front of him. I sat for a moment, "Bloody Mary. After Queen Mary I. Did you know she burned over 300 people at the stake?"

"It matches perfect with your chaotic evil energy. You'll make a great contribution to the team." He stated with a smile. For the first time since we started talking, I noticed he had teeth.

"Woah! Henderson, you have teeth!" I said with a laugh. He made a purring noise, "you like? I figured it would get me the ladies." I shook my head laughing. "Sure thing Dustin, I bet the ladies are falling all over you."

"Welcome everyone to Hellfire Club, we have a new member with us!" Eddie announced. I glanced around the room to see I was surrounded by guys.

What the fuck did I get myself into? Although I was panicking inside, I had a smile on my face.

"Everyone, meet Aspen Harrington." Eddie finished. Mike and Dustin smiled brightly at me, the rest just grumbled a "hey". Most of them looked like they hadn't ever spoken to a girl, let alone played D&D with one.

"Well gentlemen and lady, let's get this party started."

I'm soooo sorry I didn't update yesterday. I was hungover and I didn't have the energy to write.

SO, I know like the basics to D&D so we're going to skip that part in the next chapter 😂

I know this one is short, I'm so sorry
