"It is noon!" Caius' voice rang out. He stared at you, still in bed.
You hummed, however it was muffled by your head in the pillows.
"Get up!" Caius ordered but you made no movement, seemingly ignoring him.
"We've tried that." Aro said lightly as Marcus smiled beside him. The two standing in the doorway.
Caius grabbed an extra pillow before throwing it at you. "Up!"
Slowly your hand reached for the pillow, patting down your target before pulling it under your chest with a low and mumbled. "Thank you."
Caius' eyes widened. "Th-thank? Don't thank me! This isn't for your comfort- give me that pillow back!"
You huffed in response, gripping the pillow tighter as Caius moved to your bedside.
You certainly weren't known to maintain healthy habits and most assume you'd never know was a routine was. That made it ironic that you were mates to three, organized, tidy and reserved vampires.
They loved you dearly but sometimes it was like dealing with a child.
They knew they had a problem when you had fainted some time ago.
Aro was near by at the time and Jane had told him that his mate looked a little off. When he went to check on you, was when you lost balance and consciousness for a moment.
Thankfully Aro caught you.
Caius nearly had a heart attack when he found out. His immediate reaction was to be angry, not at you, nor was he entirely certain what made him so angry. Aro deemed it to be the shock causing the initial reaction.
Marcus was silent but clearly worried.
When they found out you hadn't ate that day, the three were not happy.
Later that day, after finally getting you out of bed, you wished you had stayed in it. You were complaining about Caius pestering you when your hand smacked a nearby vase.
It broke the moment it hit the ground but much to your horror, it looked like one of the older ones the Volturi had. Those were priceless in their eyes.
Your eyes widened and so did Caius and Marcus'.
Slowly, you found the strength to look back at Caius.
He was seething, his rage building at a rapid pace.
Caius' face twisted as he tried to contain his rage.
He slowly, raised a finger as he glared at you, struggling to find words. However he seemed to quickly notice he was raising his finger and dropped it. He didn't even like pointing a finger at you.
"It's okay." You said hurriedly. "Just yell at me."
"My dear...that was from the thirteenth century and if there is one person who he cannot bring himself to release his anger upon, is you." Marcus said gently.
"No, No! I can take it! It's okay! Just yell at me." You said meekly, mentally preparing yourself.
All the while, Caius continued gape and scowl, trying to hold himself back. Suddenly he stepped back, his glare fierce and his whole body rigid with his jaw clenched.
"I can take it! I swear i can take it!" You called out as he stormed off.
Marcus lightly put a hand on your arm, tracing patterns with his fingertips. "I told you...he'll be fine, darling. If anything it'll turn out like last time."
"Last time?" You asked Marcus in confusion.
"Do you recall a certain evening a few weeks ago when Caius got very angry with you and instead of avoiding you, that night he was very forward and intense in a more intimate setting?"
You stared at Marcus, you remembered Caius, essentially whisking you away from your other two mates. "Marcus, did you just tell me Caius was initiated angry sex with me because he couldn't yell at me?"
Marcus thought about it for a moment. "Yes." Marcus struggled not to laugh slightly at your perplexed expression. "Don't laugh!"
"My apologies, although I must confess Aro and I found it very amusing back then too."
You complained of a headache. They were rather frequent yet just as annoying. Caius wasn't so sympathetic,
Aro said nothing but Marcus was sympathetic.
"Come lay with me." Marcus said softly as he guided you to his bed. Marcus maneuvered you between his legs before you leant back against his chest. You felt him softly weave his fingers through your hair and lightly massage your scalp. His cold fingers were a blessing at that very moment.
"If you had a reasonable sleeping pattern and ate at meal times, i'm certain these headaches would subside." Caius said flatly.
Your mouth twisted. This was the last thing you needed.
Thankfully the trio seemed willing to give you peace as Marcus kissed you on the forehead bidding you farewell.
They had something, mostly likely a trial, that required their attention.
However the peace was short lived and Caius and Marcus returned and Caius was determined to get you out of bed.
"Why do you hate me?" You asked with a groan.
"I don't hate you, I love you. Even when its irritating, like it is now." Caius responded. "The intention is there but the delivery is just...way off." You slowly shook your head before looking at Marcus who gave you a soft smile as he squeezed your shoulders reassuringly.
"You won't take care of yourself, so I will." Caius responded flatly. "Now, are you going to cooperate or do i get enjoy the chaos i'm about to cause, to get my way?"
You simply looked at him, genuinely debating both options internally.
Caius stared you down. "Do not tease me, I've been forced into being nice and I am itching with every fibre of my being to ruin lives. I will redefine the phrase 'Cruel to be kind'"
Somehow that statement decided for you. You did not want anything of the sorts. You huffed. "I have stuff to do!"
"We all do darling yet here I am, making sure you don't expire." Caius said as he grabbed both arms, hauling you up to a stand.
"Marcus!" You pleaded.
"My apologies, sweetheart." Marcus smiled sheepishly. "I'm an accomplice to this. I'm here to help."
"Ugh!" You cried out. "Aro!"
"And he's the one who made us come here." Marcus added and you groaned.
Aro practically glided towards you, taking you into his arms and planting a kiss on your forehead.
"You made me get up." You mumbled.
"It was for the best, my dear. So you get some decent sleep tonight." Aro said, giving you a small squeeze. "After all, I thought you might want to spend time with us seeing you have our attention." Aro smiled down at you.
Well, you couldn't complain about that. That wasn't an offer you couldn't refuse.
