Caden's POV:
I didn't expect Max to follow me to my room when I finished breakfast. Honestly, I didn't think we'd talk much after what happened at the cabin. He got high and in my drunken state we may have. . . done stuff. Of course, thanks to our lack of clothing the next morning we both knew what had happened or at least had an idea of it. He was mad at me but I think he was mostly still mad that I had went to see Victor. We never really did talk about it.
"Are you okay?"
I didn't bother to look over since I knew it was Max so I simply nodded my head. Truth was I was scared to be alone with him, I didn't want to have a serious conversation. I expected him to keep his distance, to avoid me for a few days. I expected him to make me chase after him again.
"Won't you look at me?" He asked but didn't give me to chance to look at him since he harshly grabbed my shoulders and made me look at him. "Scared?"
"Of you? Never," I said with a scoff and pushed him away a bit. "I just don't want to hear you bitch about anything today."
"That's a surprise since you're the bitch," he bit back and pushed me too. "Don't be scared."
You're asking for it.
"Don't push me," I warned and went to walk past him only to stumble due to him pushing me again.
"I'm trying to talk to you."
"Try it one more time, I dare you," I said and was about to reach for the doorknob when he pushed me again.
I threw my backpack to the floor, grabbed him by the arm, and held him against the door. One hand held his hands and the other grabbed him by the neck. A challenging look was on his face, it made me chuckle. God damn, he always loved it a little rough. His face screamed at me, daring me to do something to him. Memories of our first kiss popped into my head and I had to remind myself to be in the present, not the past.
"You're a pain in the ass," I chuckled.
"Bite me," he argued back.
"What am I going to do with you?"
He broke his hands free from my hand but my grip on his neck remained there. He was driving me crazy and he knew it. But fuck, he decided to drive me crazy in the wrong time. Any minute now Diego and Hector can come knocking on the door to tell us it's time to go. He had the worst timing ever.
"For fucks sake," he sighed impatiently and pulled me in, our lips finally meeting in a hungry kiss.
His hands were daring today, sliding under my shirt and up my back. My free hand was itching to wonder as well but I stopped myself and instead placed it against the door, my other hand slightly tightening its grip on his neck. That seemed to excite him more which was what I didn't want but fuck, my boy was freaky. He broke the kiss and took a deep breath, pushing me off him a second later and fixing himself.
"Hurry your ass up," he said and walked out.
Oh hell no, I was going to kill him. He did that shit on purpose. From the moment he walked in, he had it in his mind to do this to me. I didn't have enough time to fix myself or anything, he was already informing Diego and Hector that it was time to go. I could only pray that it would go away by itself but it didn't help that as soon as I stepped out Max winked at me and licked his lips. I was truly fucked. All I could do was stare at his ass as he walked towards the door and he knew it too.
"Stop it," he warned.
"You started it," I argued.
"Don't continue it!"
"This wouldn't be a problem if you just didn't do that!"
"Jesus, just control yourself."
"Jesus? You're the one that needs Jesus with what you just did in the room."
"Keep your voice down!"
"You're the one screaming. Plus they aren't even here. I thought you called them."
"I did! Did you not see me walk back from the bedroom door? Or were you thinking of other things?"
"Keep it up and I'll take you here right now, even if they walk in. I don't care."
"Shut up," he warned and glared at me just as Diego and Hector appeared.
They both seemed busy with their own thoughts and for some reason Max decided to blame me for us being late even though they were the ones that came out last. On the way to school Max was arguing with me about how I should take better care of my stuff since I couldn't find my homework. Turns out it was just hidden in my folder. I may have also been messing with the stereo to annoy him.
"See you guys later," Hector said immediately after Max parked.
Diego looked like he saw a puppy get kicked but he didn't say anything, only waved at Hector who was already facing away from us. I followed Max into the school, Diego a few steps behind us but he didn't really seem like he wanted to talk and Max was immediately able to see it. So, he instead began to argue with me about how I shouldn't follow him around all day. What else was I supposed to do though?
"It wouldn't kill you to make other friends, you know? Friends that weren't assholes I mean."
"You want me to talk to other guys? Is that what you're saying?"
He looked about ready to smack me with a book. With a roll of the eyes, he looked ahead and began talking about a few classmates that might consider being my friend. However, I wasn't really paying attention. I was more focused on the fact that there weren't many students around so they wouldn't notice if I pushed Max into one of the empty classrooms right now and had a little revenge.
Yeah, no one would notice.
