Diego's POV:

Time was running by quickly. It felt like just yesterday I had my arcade date with Hector but a week had already passed and it was now the day of Charlie's party. The week went by in a blur, yet so much happened. During the week, Caden, Charlie, Rosaline and I helped Max and Hector pack up their stuff because they were moving to their own place!

When I found out that Max's mother knew I wanted to run over and check up on Max. Caden told me the day of and had to stop me from going over there and possibly make things worse. I was surprised that he wasn't rushing over to his house but he must've known that his presence wouldn't help at all. Max was sad over the week due to his mother but he looked more alive eveytime we dropped stuff off at the new apartment. His father was able to find an apartment quickly due to his friend that owned some and they were actually really nice. It wasn't too far away from his mother's house and just a bit closer to the school. His father made sure that Max's mother wasn't home when we went over to help and I was glad because if she were to yell at me, I felt like I would've cried, no doubt.

"Love, you look beyond handsome."

Another happy thing? Hector wasn't going anywhere now. He also seemed more free and less tense. I think the apartment was giving them a chance to breathe and let loose. I was happy for them, but sad that their mother's basically said they didn't want them. Caden's boyfriend mode was activated because he was doing everything he could to make Max feel better. He didn't even make a comment when Max's father said we couldn't sleep over at the apartment and he put on a respectful attitude. It was safe to say we were all surprised at Caden's behavior.

"You really think so? I haven't really been to a party like the one Charlie is having."

"You'll be the one looking the finest there," he said and kissed the top of my head, hugging me from behind. "I love you."

I smiled at him through the mirror and turned around in his arms, wrapping my own arms around his neck and leaning up to kiss him. He held me close with one hand and the other was stretched out against the wall, slowly leaning us towards until my back gently hit the wall. Hector was a gentle and sweet type of guy. Caden was a freak. There was a huge difference between them yet they each matched Max and me. It still felt weird knowing they've done stuff because that's my best friend and it's Caden. Hector insists on going slow in our relationship and I couldn't be happier. Slow was good for me, especially with how fast the last one went. Still, he was slow but very intimate at the same time. I would be lying if I said I didn't want more though. I couldn't help it, I was a teenage boy after all. But all was fine with where we were at.

"Let's go, love," he said against my lips and pulled away a moment later, grabbing my hand in his and leading us out of my room after I grabbed my keys, phone, and wallet.

We walked into the living room where my mother and Daniel were. They were having a day in and they honestly looked so comfortable. They had food on the coffee table and blankets and pillows spread out on the floor where they sat. Daniel was over his shock about finding out about Caden and he had a stern talk with him. Caden's room door couldn't be completely closed whenever it was just Max and him in his room. I was even surprised when he said the rule applied to me and Hector too. Though I just quickly agreed to get the conversation over with. Like I said, we were going slow.

"Caden, your hair is fine! Stop being a drama queen and let's go. Charlie's been expecting us for the past hour!"

"I have to make sure," Caden grumbled and ran his hand through his hair once more.

"I hope I don't need to remind you guys to be responsible and behave. Please text me if you guys will stay there or come home," my mother pleaded.

"Don't keep the pregnant lady worried," Daniel said sternly.
