Diego's POV:
I was starting to think that Hector wasn't the innocent, sweet, kind guy that everyone saw him as. No, this Hector was a devil and he knew exactly what I desired and used it against me. He was a bad influence and he was testing me. It was like putting a bowl of candy in front of a little kid and seeing how long he'd last before he took one small piece and then another and another until the whole bowl was empty. I was slowly grabbing pieces and before I know it, my bowl will be empty, and instead, I'll be full of butterflies that he causes. I wasn't the type to break rules, yet here I was, in bed with my door locked that is never locked, with this devilishly handsome man.
"Good morning," he said with a rasp.
"Morning," I chocked out. "My mom is going to kill me."
He chuckled, grabbed my chin, and placed a kiss on my forehead. He got up and stretched out his toned arms while I hid under the blanket to hide my red cheeks. This was new territory. I wasn't used to this. Victor wasn't this lovey dovey and he barely touched me unless it was for cuddles. I didn't know if I could handle it or not. My heart was beating away and I knew he knew the reaction he had on me.
"Come on now, don't hide that handsome face," he teased and yanked the blanet off, leaning over and cupping my cheek. "I've waited so long for you to blush because of me."
"Worth the wait?" I asked shyly.
He chuckled and his eyes shined with happiness before saying, "Every single second. Come on, your mom will be here any minute and unless you want her to see us both shirtless, I'd start getting ready. We have school soon anyway."
He grabbed my hand and helped me to my feet, ruffling my already messy hair and causing me to try and swat his hand away. It was weird to see him like this. He always seemed so happy and now he seemed happier. He looked more calm and relieved. Thinking back, he always looked calm but he also looked tense at the same time. How did I not notice the difference before?
"Diego? Honey, your door is locked. Are you already awake? Max will be here soon."
"Yeah, mom, I'm changing!"
"Hurry up so you can eat, okay?"
"I'll be down soon!"
"Told you," Hector smirked and I rolled my eyes at him but still had on a smile.
We both got dressed and ready before making our way downstairs. My mom was already in the kitchen but I was surprised to see Daniel cooking and my mom sitting down. She was showing a bit more now and ever since Daniel found out about the pregnancy he started doing more around the house such as cooking, cleaning, and just helping my mom out with little things. He even fixed his work schedule to be home earlier to spend time with her. It was sweet and while it made me miss my dad more, I was glad my mom found the happiness she deserved.
"Good morning sweetie. Come sit down and- oh! Hector! You're here already? I didn't hear Max come in."
"It's just me. He overslept and I texted Diego that I was here so he let me in."
"I didn't even hear the front door open or close," Daniel said and shook his head. "Kind of unsafe if you ask me."
"Everything is unsafe to you since I got pregnant," my mother laughed.
"You can never be too safe," he said and kissed her cheek before placing a plate of food down on the table in front of her. "Eat up. I'll serve you guys right now. Do you know if Caden is awake?"
Just then the front door opened and closed and in came Max and Caden much to my mother's and Daniel's surprise. They both gave them questioning looks and they looked confused for a second themselves. Then it hit them, they weren't angrily looking at each other or making remarks at each other. They took one look at each other and both took a step to the side as if that would fix the situation.
