The Saga Of Two Lovers (SLOW UPDATES)

His dilemma

Draupadi heard his voice and with somewhat energy left,she slowly holds her hand to his cheek and says in a wishper "I love you arya.I was lucky enough to be your wife in this life,hopefully we will definitely meet in next life or in heaven.I will be waiting for you."Arjun held her hand and said in tears "I love you too.Please stay with me.Open your eyes.Please."and slowly but steadily she started closing her eyes and in no time her eyes were fully closed.Her one hand was in Arjun's hand while other hand dropped lifelessly in air.Arjun was horrified at this.He starts wailing loudly and said in tears "Draupadi,please wake up.Don't leave me alone.Please stay with me.DRAUPADI!!"

It was of no use because Draupadi wasn't responding to any of his calls or pleas.But suddenly he notices that she was taking some shallow breaths.He holds her close to him tightly and fastens the speed of his horse.

In no time he reaches the palace.He quickly gets down and picks up Draupadi in his arms and orders a soldier to take his horse to the stable and to let him rest.The soldier nods and takes the horse towards the stable and Arjun takes Draupadi inside the palace and towards the vaidyashala.He gently places Draupadi on one of the beds of vaidyashala and he looks around to find that rajvaidya was not in the vaidyashala.

He shouts out loudly "Rajvaidya,come fast,I need your help. It's urgent.Come here as soon as possible." Listening to his shouts.Not only rajvaidya but other members of the royal family also come rushing towards the vaidyashala only to see that Arjun's white Angavastra was now turned in red due to blood and Draupadi was lying unconscious on the bed with blood flowing from her stomach and a piece of Arjun's Angavastra tied around her stomach to lessen the blood flow.

Rajvaidya quickly calls her assistants and orders them to get all the herbs and medicines ready.Both the assistants nod and start doing their work.Rajvaidya looks at the royal family and says "Rajkumar Arjun and all the members of royal family,please wait outside the chamber,we need to start with Rajkumari Draupadi's treatment as soon as possible otherwise she and your upcoming child will not be able to survive."

Arjun listens to this and says angrily "don't you dare to say such things.Draupadi and my child both will be safe.You have to save both of them.Have I made myself clear?and I will not go out because I want to stay here only with her."

The poor rajvaidya gets scared at Arjun's tone and nods and says "yes rajkumar." Arjun nods and then all the members of royal family go outside the vaidyashala except Arjun.Then rajvaidya starts with her treatment.

She first unties the cloth around Draupadi's stomach and studies the wound.Then she takes a clean cloth and starts wiping the blood with warm water.Arjun just keeps staring at her quietly.

He sits down on a nearby chair and looks down at his hands which were now covered with Draupadi's red blood.He closes his eyes and tears start streaming down his face.He remembers all those moments where he had misbehaved with Draupadi,hurt her,insulted her, called her with names and still she forgave him and completed her duty as his wife.

He realised that he had never given her the place of his wife in his life which she actually deserved.He had broken her and shattered her feelings completely just like a broken glass which could never be mended ever again.He had crumpled her self respect just like a paper under his legs.

His ego,his anger and his misunderstandings had caused destruction of not only one but two innocent lives.One was Draupadi and the other one was the baby who was inside her womb who still hadn't even came into this world.

His immature thinking and ego filled self respect had today caused Draupadi and his unborn child to stand and hang on their death bed and he could do nothing but see as they both were suffering in front of him with pain.

He was regretting all those moments where he had tortured Draupadi and she always forgived him.All those scenes where he had mercilessly slapped her,took away her whole being by forcing himself on her,beaten her, pushed her on the ground when she was pregnant,doubted her of her purity started replaying infront of his eyes.

He could clearly hear in his ears her pleas,her pain filled shouts,her trying to proof her innocence and her devotion and purity towards her beloved husband.More tears made their way down his cheeks.

His ignorance had caused him to lose the two most special things which were gifted by God to him.Draupadi and their unborn child.They were indeed the two most rare blessings that God had bestowed upon him.But he was too careless to even notice it.

He didn't value this rare possession and fortune and just threw it away thinking that it was unuseful.He has treated Draupadi not like a human but like a mere toy which danced upon his instructions and directions.

He had finally seen her greatness.Even after all he did to her,she saved him from getting hurt and herself took the attack upon her that was meant to kill him.He was now very ashamed of himself but it was too late because the damage had already been caused and now it was not so easy to fix that damage which he had caused to Draupadi.

He had took away her self confidence because of which she had no more will to live.He had took away all her hope without which it was very difficult for a person to survive.Draupadi's words constantly ringed in his ears where she had told him that once he realises what he has done,then he would not be able to face himself and the world.The self guilt will kill him little by little and will eat him up slowly from inside and he will not be able to do anything other than watching his two loved ones take their last breath right in front of him.And that all was indeed happening.
