"why the hell am i at this school" prologue <3

Gs eyes open. Everything is filled with darkness. 'w-what the hell? why can't I move??!' she tried to move around in the cramped space but it was useless. as she was slowly processing what was happening she heard a voice. 

"crap, people will come soon! I gotta wear the uniform fast...Ngggggh"!!! 

The lid to whatever she was in slowly moved. "This lid is so heavy. If it has come to this... gonna have to use my last resort!" Suddenly everything got hot. the lid was blown off and G sat up quickly 

"Ngggg.... there!!" The voice happily cheered 

"F-FIRE!!! I'M GOING TO BURN TO DEATH"!! G freaked out and quickly jumped out of the coffin

 "W-wait your awake"?!!?! 

She blinked a few times at the person...no animal who started the fire "A- talking raccoon? No....cat"? 

The animal crossed his arms angrily at her "Who are you calling cat!! I'm the great grim!" The amount of confidence this little guy had surprised her 

"But oh well, Hand over those clothes would ya.....Or else I'll roast ya whole"!!

 At this second she realized that she was wearing something completely different from what she had on before coming into this...Graveyard? She was wearing an extremely oversized black robe with purple on the collar and around her waist was a sash with some sort of golden pendant tying the whole robe together. there were golden details all over. It was quite a beautiful design. 

"Never would I think of getting roasted by a raccoon...How refreshing! But it looks like I have gotta head out soooo-" G started to run as fast as she could. 

Trying to navigate through the large and labyrinth-like structure of the school was incredibly hard. At some point, she ended up inside some sort of library. She took a quick breath but before she could start running again the little gremlin caught up with her. 

"Did you think you could run away from me!? You lowly human!" For someone who was somehow shorter than she was this guy was intimidating "Now if you don't want to be roasted whole then give me that cloth-" The little guy was cut off by an extremely loud whiplash. 

The rodent screeched in pain "FUGYA?!!!?! it hurts! What is this string?!" 

"It's not a string! It is a lash of love!"

 A new voice soon appeared. A man in a crow mask was the owner of this familiar voice. She took some time to study his appearance. Short dark green hair, dark enough to be mistaken for black, white skin, his hand seemed to be covered in claws. he had an interesting suit on with extremely high levels of detail. 

"It seems I finally found you! You are one of the new students if I'm correct". G blinked in confusion before grim spoke again 

"Let me go! I'm not their familiar"!!! 

the man stared at grim angrily "sure, sure. that's what all these rebellious familiars say. And you" he turned back to G "You can't just let your untamed familiar wreak havoc like this"! 

G decided it was time for her to finally speak up "He's not my familiar"! He ignored her and spoke once again. 

 "it's unprecedented for a new student to leave the gate like this...how impatient can you be"? he seemed annoyed 

"The entrance ceremony is already well underway. let us head down to the hall of mirrors" The amount of confusion that G felt was difficult to explain 

"I-I'm sorry new student"? 

"Well, I'm talking about the room that you woke up in! All students who wish to attend this academy must pass through one of the doors to arrive here". He started to walk away from her while talking making G sprint after him.

 "Normally, students wake up only after the door is open with a special key..." 

"So those coffin things were actually door? That's pretty cool"! 

"So in the end the culprit seems to have been this familiar. Now if you're going to bring it with you, you must take responsibility and probably take care of it...oh my! now isn't the time for long-winded conversations. The entrance ceremony will end shortly! let's get a move on". 

the crow man started to walk faster but G stopped him once again "wait a minute there sir! Just who are you"! 

"what's this? Are you still dazed? It appears the teleportation magic has left you disoriented. well no matter, it happens often enough. I shall give you an explanation as we make our way there. For I am gracious"! The man continued to walk farther as G followed behind with interest. 'why is this school so damn big. It's impossible to navigate without a map' The man stopped at an open area. there was a well in the middle it was quite bland in terms of vegetation. before she left she would make sure to tell the strange man. there was an exception, however. a huge flourishing apple tree. underneath the tree was a bench. quite a nice place to enjoy a book or some tea. Crow man turned to G 

"Ahem, This is Night Raven College! Budding mages blessed with unprecedented talent gather from all over the world here at the most prestigious magical academy in twisted wonderland. And I'm the board chairman-appointed headmaster in charge of looking after this college, Dire Crowley".

 "M-mage"? G questioned Crowley. 

The school sounded extremely familiar. It seemed like her mothers told her something about this once. But there was something in the back of her mind. Was she really supposed to be let into this school? Her moms were talking highly about this school from her faint memories but there was just something telling her that this was a bad idea to be here. A faint voice proclaiming that she should leave. 

"Only those mages deemed worthy by the Dark mirror can attend this school, and an ebony carriage carrying a gate should have gone to meet you as well" 

G smiled widely "I remember that carriage!! It was the one with the creepy little horse"! 

"The ebony carriage goes to welcome new students chosen by the dark mirror. They are special carriages that carry the doors to the academy. carriages are the vehicle of choice for special occasions. is that not what conventional wisdom has dictated since the days of yore"? 

Once again G was confused by what Crowley was saying 

"muggmmm!! Muggghhh!!" Grim made weird noises in an attempt to speak but Crowley's mouth muffled anything he had to say 

"come. let's go to the entrance ceremony shall we"? Crowley started to walk over to who knows where.

 G followed behind 'so this is where I was supposed to get admitted to....I wish Rose and Alice could be here....They were the ones who got into the same school....Why couldn't I....Whatever. Just gotta make the most of it! I'm gonna make some new friends and maybe get a partner!! Maybe a handsome girl? A pretty guy? A cute non-binary!! This is going to go well' She smiled to herself and closed her eyes. Those thoughts came back to her as soon as she opened them....
